His father bought it for him during the Depression.
Apparently they never hurt for money during that time, as he had a secure job with the railroad.
It needs a little TLC, but it looks to be in good condition overall.
In reality, I recognize that I'm only holding it in trust for a few years for our oldest, my stepson, but I'll gladly pass it on when the time is right.
