Well, no ammo and limited firearms, what you been buying lately?

Simple for me as the projects around here have been suffering for attention.

International Harvester parts, documents and tools.
Moto Guzzi as above.
"Cafe" components for a Suzuki.
Vintage rivets to restore a '57 Lonestar Malibu run-about.
Books as reference material.

I'm still buying guns and finding some good ones at good prices.

Can't find much ammo to buy so I'm just goona put my money onto guns and shoot them once the ammo shortage is over.

I am buying spam cans of 7.62x54r and shotgun shells. At least I can still shoot a couple of my guns without worrying about running out of ammo.

I've been slowly acquiring reloading items when they become available at reasonable prices. For instance, I got 1000 large rifle primers today. Just need to find some powder and I can reload in 270.

Got word at work about a friend of my division head who had a Savage Arms Mark II-F bolt action .22LR, NIB, for sale. He bought it a couple months ago, never shot it, and decided he didn't want it any more. Did a little research and found his asking price was about $40 cheaper than most places I found selling it new, so I bought it.

Sweet little thing, synthetic stock. Should go over well with the kids when my wife and I finally get around to taking them out to shoot.

Actually just got in a 525 round brick of subsonic .22 LR last week and 1000 rounds of .22 short being delivered tomorrow. Both were back orders and both at real prices. The ammo world is slowly starting to open up.

I've been buying anything I see. Bought some .308 fusion yesterday. I also have a 10/22 takedown on order. I'm also trying to get my gf to dust off her old recurve bow to teach me how to shoot that. Sad that my gf is teaching me how to shoot. I'm man enough to admit it. Haha. She's really good. A few years back she used to win competitions and all that.

Not "buying" per se ! Mostly plotting ! And researching !

IOW, there ought to be multiple ways to create new "hybrid" arms (at least long guns for now), using compressed propellant gasses and "chemical accelerators" moulded into the bullet jacket to arrive at respectable bullet velocities/accuracy and reliability. I'm thinking of new generations of the "Liberty Gun" almost anyone with modest skills/tools can build for themselves from commonly available materials. >MW

Not buying anything right now. Had a good stockpile of ammo and haven't had to buy any in the last 10-12 months, but starting to get to the minimum . Down to 1000 rounds of .22 lr so I won't be shooting that until I can find more. Still have plenty of 9mm, 38, 357 and 45. Just can't believe .22 is so hard to find. Also, haven't shot my AR 15 lately, got a few hundred rounds , but not gonna pay $1 per round for .223, so not shooting that either. But getting a lot of use from AK47, bought a couple tins of that and won't run out anytime soon, same with the mosin nagant.

Ammo, when I can find it. Some reloading gear/components, also when I can find it.

I've also picked up a RRA Lower and a Sig M400 Enhanced, both at a bit inflated prices but still under MSRP.

I've been buying used computer equipment. :D Bought the church a "new" system and wasting a lot of time getting it all set up with a few inexpensive upgrades and new software, and I bought a used 8 CPU server for my basement -- wasting lots of time with that learning how to get Windows and Linux to coexist.

In another couple of weeks maybe I can start shooting again. The weather is hampering me more lack of ammo. (the ground here is still half-frozen slush.)

Been running up quite a large bill with my local Snap On representitive. Oh yeah I "need" this set of indexing pry bars...

Just bought a S&W Model 10 (No dash) this weekend for a reasonable price. For a 50+ year old expolice gun, it's little rough on the cosmetics, but excelent mechanical condition. Also got 50 round boxes of 38 Super for $25 at the same gun show. Just wish I had enough cash to get all 10 boxes of that ammo.

Crossbow bolts and target tips. I have been shooting my Crossbow I bought at the end of last season.
It is my b-day, but we celebrated Sunday, and we had families over with kids from 6 to 12 y ears old. They each had a long bow with a pull of 18 lbs. They had a tournament, and then I brought out the 150 lbs crossbow, and we played a couple games of darts with it.

I like the crossbow. I have some flat tip bolts that work great for pest control.

Wow! Didn't even read tarosean post or see it until I had posted. Looks like we are on the same page, but it looks like they may be shooting a compound bow.
