There were about 10-15 LE in uniform and a few out. It was not a big crowd. It was a small church. They advertised that private donations were used although I imagine LE were paid.


The first gun I saw was a sawed off single shot shotgun. Looked like a good job, the hand grip was shaped nice and the wood finished Wink most I saw were small handguns etc. Nothing I would really want. Nothing worth crying over

I have been thinkin what else ta get rid of today- there is one more day. I have a ML I paid 40.00 for as a project and an ole steven crackshot that is trash... finish,chamber,extractor,stock and finish issues... then there is a new flintlock traditions I paid 30.00 for a couple years back when I heard of a close out at a sports authority form a forum but they said they would not ship- I made a few calls and bought every ML they had on closeout I think I had six of the buckhunter flints for like 26.00 each SHIPPED and three of the inlines for 50.00 each shipped. I gave all away for free but the one I have left. Like some here I DO BELIEVE in passing on the sport- to kids AND ADULTS

The police chief even said in interviews that they did not expect to get one gun from a gang banger but they figure it gets guns from those that don't want them around and keeps some form being stolen and used by the gangs...

As far as trading for different guns I thought of it but dicks does not have pistols at least not here... I did not see anything other than one military mossberg shotgun at dicks... kinda a real milk toast selection there... remember we were not talking cash cards.. if they were I would have went to my favorite shop.

"what card do ya want" the officer asks- Acme or Dick's- as in Dicks sporting good... as in Dick's sporting goods that has a gun section... well so much for the steak I was gonna turn them into... so in honor of the experience I did goto dicks and turned that 300.00 for the junk into a brand new Savage 17hmr walnut thumb holed stock/bull barrell and a 3*9 scope. The package was on sale. I may swap the scope out but it may do what I need it to do. I may put a 6x 18 burriss I have sittin around on it though, we'll see...I had been wantin to try a 17hmr and under the circumstances Wink

I have been giggling all evening about the irony of it all ... Big Grin
