It was a cold day here, probably 20 degrees. Range didn't have any heat, wasn't well lit nor well ventilated. Despite that, I still had a fun time.

I was the only one there and started loading up my magazine. I didn't have my ears on. I don't wear ears if I'm the only person on the range. A couple of guys come in and I immediately put the ears on.

They start shooting and I'm glad that I got them on. They were shooting .44 magnums and the boom was incredible. I was in the booth right next to them and I could feel the force!

I was shooting my .45acp and .38 special through a S&W .357 magnum. The boom from their .44 magnums made my guns sound like little cap guns! :(

you were shooting a 45 without ear protection?

im gonna be the first rude persont to say, thats not very smart. You wont realize your mistakes until you lost your hearing. I wear protection even with 22's, may not sound loud each time, but over time, it does have an effect.

Am I the only one who understood...he had his hearing protection off because no one was shooting (including Edmond). I'm sure he would have put on his ears before he began to shoot (he was just loading his mags after all) but put them on when other shooters arrived at the range.
