S&W 22A is very easy to take down. Lock the slide back, depress the disassmbly button, remove the barrel and remove the slide. Cleaning? All of them have funky little nooks and crannies.
From what i hear, the rugers are a pain in the... well use your imagination... to clean, which is unfortunate because i like the mark 2, but would prefer to get something that isn't too big of a hassle. What in your experience is the easiest .22 autoloader to clean?
My MKIII was not easy the first time I tried it, so I did it 3 more times. After that, it was pretty simple.I own one. It's a pain in the ass.
Watched a couple of salesmen and the owner try to get a P22 back together last week. It was fun watching someone else struggle with assembly.I once watched a local gunshop manager fieldstrip a 1911. He got it apart with just a little trouble, but could not get it back together. Called over another guy who was even less help.
