This is my First Post here. What do you guys think of the Taurus Milpro pt-145? I have been thinking about switching my rugerp95 for it.

Just sold a 9mm 24/7 Pro Compact (similar to the 145) because the trigger was terrible. Capacity was fantastic but that crunchy trigger never grew on me.

Maybe the new PT-845 would be a better option.

I had one & it was extremely accurate, excellent ergos, easy carry, no issues. I kept reading about reliability issues, so I sold it & went through a bunch of "better" guns looking for one that I liked as well. I now have another PT145 that I have decided with the addition of night sights is about as perfect a carry gun as you can buy.
Light weight, 11 rounds of .45acp in a 9mm size carry gun. The trigger on my smiled on Sigs is smoother without question, but for a carry piece it's plenty accurate & both of the ones I have owned have been 100%. I'll be keeping this one.

I've shoved 1200+ rounds of 230gr through my 3rd generation PT-145 with no problems. I often carry it in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster in the front pocket of my cargo shorts/pants. I use the same holster to carry my Sig P239/357sig also. The PT-145 also carries nicely in a Smart Carry. It has been reliable and a very good shooter for a 3.25" barrel. If the short barrel concerns you, Speer makes Gold Dot ammo specifically for short barrels. Says so right on the box. Good luck with your decision. Be sure to hold'em and walk away from anything that doesn't feel just right. Don't try to sell yourself on it.
