Perhaps not. But when declaring the Ruger to be the rifle for someone "on a budget" those minor cosmetic differences fade to insignificance.That being said, comparing this rifle to a Stevens, Edge, or Mossberg 4x4 is not even close.
And that is also probably true. That perhaps makes it a bargain if you're in the market for those parts.I think what Dobe is trying to say is that for all the features you get with the GSR the rifle is a bargin.
It seems like a really nice rifle and many of the features are quite desirable. The marketing game and justifications we claim for it are where it is sometimes prudent to ask, "REALLY?"
