If the wife sees this thread, I'm a dead man.
Of course I love firearms, my penchant for WWII rare manufacture pieces has not helped our budget.
I am also one of those weirdo numismatists. That's right, I LERV me some coins. I have special interests in Trimes, seated liberty, and especially Arrows+rays pieces. My real pet love, and hideous expense however, is in Carson City Morgans.
I am also a book whore, with a special penchant for american authors, the grittier the better. I own many rare / first / signed editions from Faulkner, Steinbeck, Twain, Bukowski, etc. What's amazing is how little many of these pieces cost a mere 10-15 years ago. They're some of my best investments, sadly they'll never be realized because they are patently not for sale, much to the chagrin of SWMBO.
I also collect Zippo lighters, mid century american razors, and of all the odd things.... dictionaries. Dictionaries are not too expensive, but from different eras they paint an amazing picture of the living english language, and it's evolution.
Last but hardly least, there is golf. Clubs are expensive, greens are expensive.... good lessons are REALLY expensive... all to spoil a perfectly fine walk with a little white ball. (the lessons are paying off btw, yesterday I drove 290+ yards, which is a lifetime record for me, altho I actually overdrove the green on that hole).
I think the lesson here is, don't worry about finding things to spend money on, they present themselves quite readily lol.
