Ultimate Fighting/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Cycling, Archery and Hunting. If there were cliffs around here I'd be hang gliding. But Oklahoma isn't know for mountains unfortunately. =(

At various times

I have scuba dived, hang glided, sky dived, done martial arts (I used to teach TKD), done triathlon/open water swims, but right now it's motorcycling BMW1150GS (BMW stands for break my wallet), Krav maga, skiing, and shooting. and traveling to other countries whenever my wife and I get a chance. I still want another bike (Honda Valkyrie) and want to get back into hang or para gliding or skydiving. not enough time or money.

I race motocross and desert races, that comes in as more expensive than my guns / ammo. I also do a lot of hiking, camping and climbing, the gear there isn't cheap, but once the initial cost is paid you are good for a while. I train Kenpo / boxing and a little ground work, but most of my instructors don't charge me, although the heavy bags, double end bags, kick pads, gm membership and ludicrous amounts of food needed to keep the pace gets expensive.

Calling off work to take some friends from work on a tour of the Detroit River and getting busted on the front page of the Free Press.

Off roading, my 03 Harley Davidson Road King and last but not least all that high dollar technical rescue equipment that I have for personal use.

I do a little photography, but don't spend much since the initial outlay, lots of woodworking that sometimes runs up big bills for special pieces of wood. Most expensive is coins though, I got these in December.

1913 Proof Barber Quarter, about 675 minted.

A high grade 1925 S mint Stone Mountain Commemorative 1/2 dollar.

And a really high grade 1936 Texas 1/2 dollar.

Photographing coins is tough, all of them look amazing in person, particularly the toning ont he Barber.

short list but it consumes all of my time

I think my addiction to salmon fishing cost me even more than my need for guns/shooting. Both keep working my tail off:p

Stevie-Ray,
Nice trucks. Those are probly the baddest two models of trucks to ever come of Fords assembly lines. I think everyone hated to see the SC engines discontinued. You a member of nloc or nhtoc.net??
DZL,
I've been a member of NLOC for 7 years. Spend time on NHTOC, also. Gitchi Manitou on both forums. And SC engines are back in Ford's lineup.

I have 3 others...

Reef keeping(still collecting bits and pieces for my next tank)
fast boats( every one wants a 100 mph boat until they own one)
Wood working( ok its part hobby part job)

For those who listed photography as a hobby, please be informed that photography is not a hobby;it is an addiction and I am an addict.

I need to add good scotch to my list, my father has just got me hooked on the stuff, 10 year + single malt, sherry casks.

Art collecting, photography, gun catalogs, fishing tackle, and others. I cycle between interests.

My other hobby besides shooting is working out and running. It doesn't cost me anything though because my school has a gym that I can use for free. If you asked me in high school, it would have been rugby and soccer.

The girlfriend is the most expensive, but I don't know if i'd call her a "hobby".

+1.2.....still like the shutter better than dig, although the later is the future(which...sigh...is now). I just aint ready to $$$ dig crossover yet. though i find it fasinating to toy with. Have been busy converting neg's w/ a dimage scan duel to print w/ a HiTi 4x6 printer. great fun & memories of 40+ year old pic.s now w/out trees growing out of peoples shoulders or heads. even put some ex's back together (sad, ehh). also cd'ing my albums via stero through computer ( about 200 down & 300 to go) mostly from the 60's to mid 70's. Hobbies.....right: photography, astro-photography(35mm), r/c fixed & rotary, shoots pool mon?, supporting the system (family) & 1 very crazy reality challenged aussie shapeard.& of course , range time; or as the wife says to me.....go & relax, dinner at 7. Gotta love her
sry.....my spelll chuck sewercided, doesnt seem to like mozilla.

Keeping my daughter in proper-sized pit-racing motorbikes is proving costly, as does the riding gear, lessons and gasoline. Buying the items one at a time, two at a time didn't seem to costly...except for the bike. Then, when I totaled everything up, it dawned on me, I could have bought 6 to 8 new Colt 1911 pistols for the same money. :banghead:

Just a minute...I have to unwrap myself from her little finger.

Driving and Flying like a Madman mostly if you think 87 octane unleaded is expensive try 100 octane low-lead avgas or Jet fuel. Doing high-G stunts in an L-39 Albatross is a fun but expensive way to spend an afternoon but then even just flying low and slow in a Piper cub can get expensive before you know it.

1989 Road Racing Fox Bodied Mustang

Collecting Rare Watches

Ballroom dancing <-- yes its VERY expensive.

good luck
