What are your ReloadingGoals for 2019?

Clean out my reloading room so I can get off a converted Workmate 450 and finally build a solid reloading bench.

Learn how to load .300 AAC Blackout so I can learn how to shoot the AR Pistol I built.

1) Learn how to cast bullets. This is closely related to learning to shoot and reload for my new 45-70.
2) Get a progressive press so I don’t have to continue reloading 9mm on my single stage.

To load all the loose brass on my reloading bench so I have some room to work.

I'm wanting to build up my stock of lead this year.
It's getting harder to come by, so I'd like to stock up while it is still somewhat available.

If you're in central Arkansas you should get to know somebody at Dassault Falcon jet. Their aircraft are built in France and flown to Little Rock empty. Several hundred pounds of lead is added to the front to stop the plane from falling on it's tail. The lead is plates that weighs 27 lbs ea. When I worked there, we could get them 10 at a time, what the policy is now I couldn't say

My goals are:
  • Keep my 100% safety record
  • Try and improve on my precision loads (not that easy, but always trying)
  • Add another cartridge to my reloading stable (will need a new gun)

1) Learn to shoot the 50 cal TC Hawken I picked up. I need to figure out a round ball and a conical load for it in time for hunting season because my lack of preference points means I will need to try for a black powder tag rather than conventional rifle.

2) Shoot more. Trigger time has really gone the way of the dodo lately. It won't work for rifles, but if the greatly delayed indoor range near me ever finally opens that will make things a lot easier.

3) Learn how to powder coat my cast boolits. One of the revolvers I really like shooting just will not stop leading no matter what I do, but shoots coated just fine. I have all the stuff, just have to cast some more projectiles and climb the learning curve.

Other than reloading more, my wants are pretty simple.
1.) Arrange my area better in terms of where cases are stored, making stuff easier to find.
2.) Keeping my loading log up to date, rather than relying on the sticky labels on boxes for previous load data.
3.) Get my ass out and load more often!!

I've just moved, so the first step is to get all my reloading and shooting stuff unpacked and set up.

Then I've got a big backlog of reloading projects and guns that need love that I haven't spent time with. I more or less need to go shopping in my own gun safe:

.264WM M70 I was thinking of using for elk this year, never got it set up and the elk hunt got canceled
.325 WSM MRC I need to put in a new stock, bed, and load for
A .444 Marlin I just got
A 6.5CM winchester 1885 singe shot I need to do hunting loads for (and maybe a long range load too if it shoots)

Plus I've got two ongoing projects of working up full power nitro loads for my 1886s. Ones in .45-90 and one's in .50-110. I want to switch powder from 2495 to AR-COMP - it's very temp stable and most game big enough to justify those guns is found in hot places or in cold places. I also want to try some bullets with them that I haven't tried yet like the 535gr A-Frame in the .50-110. I may have to melt the nose a bit to flatten the meplat for tube safety and shorten it a bit - not sure.

I also want to make sure I get in at least one big game hunting trip next year even if it's just private land elk. It sucked having everyone cancel out this year.

My goal is to find 1 or 2 "quality" loads for each of my rifles.
I have 12 different rifles in 8 different calibers.
It's going to take a while.

My goals are simple this year. Just pray that it will be better than 2018. Last year on 1 Jan we had eight of us that shoot together with six of us who reloaded. On 3 Jan we lost one of our shooter/reloaders. He was our Lee reloader. And he was very close to my grandson. Then came Apr 19, I had a stroke. Now, physically and mentally I was O.K. but I had problems with my speech, I was slurring my speech. I went back to work about two weeks later. Then on May 23, I had my second stroke. Now, this time not only did it screw with my speech, but it also affected the left side of my body. Well, this time I took my docs advice and took two months off from work. Even though my left side is not operating 100%. Well, Sep 24 I was pulling a machine out of a basement and fell over. I hit my head on a handrail and my back on a step. I ended up breaking my back.

Now, most of you all know that I sponsor our Memorial day weekend "Family and fun shoot". This year our "My Johnson is bigger than you Johnson" challenge is going to be case cleaning. We are going to run twos different sonic runs two different vibrating tumblers and two different wet tumbler runs. The only bad thing is Lee will not have an entery and Dillon will only have one. But both RCBS and Hornady will have three.

My goals are,

1. Get my progressive press up and running for 9mm
2. Get large quantities of reloading supplies stocked up
3. Get my first revolver
4. Get a long distance range set up at the family farm, should be able to get at least 400 yards
5. Get a good 6.5 cm to play with

My goals are to develop 8mm Lebel loads for my Berthier rifle. I have all the dies, brass, bullets, etc. Just waiting to get around to it. I also just got a good deal on dies for 6.5 Carcano, so I would like to shoot my 91/41 as well.

My goal is to clean up my shop. I want to decide on which progressive and get it set up and load a lot of ammo. This year my lee turret has been limited by my shoulder. I figure a progressive will be one bullet per round rather than four pulls per bullet

I do know someone who works there.
I will definitely ask him.
Thanks.

12ga loader, and 410 loader, even if it's a cheapo Lee. Add .380acp to the reloading list, and probably step up my 357 buntline to 360DW if the chamber will hold it. With those simple additions I will close out all of the holes in my reloading room as far as guns I already have. I very well may add a contender barrel in a tiny bottleneck so if I do then I will add dies for that too. 20 practical is likely.

And build a better storage system for components.

And overflow that storage system.

Develop a lead cast load for bullseye where I have tight grouping 200gr for the long line and then use the same powder charge for the short line with 185gr SWC that functions flawlessly.

Then load 2000 short line and 1000 long lines!

Actually stockpile some reloads and components so I don't have to run home and reload and then run to the range! Now that brass bombers.com is out of business I need to hunt up some more LC 5.56 cases, finally order 1k RMR 9mm and load up 1k and maybe 500rds of 223rem and ill be good to go. I would like to find some Varget and try it in 223rem and try another powder for 45-70.

I reached one of my goals last night with just over a thousand rounds of 45colt loaded.I want to have the same in 454,460,and 30-30 by the time snows melt.
But the big goal is to build a closed off locking reloading room instead of my make do catch all work bench to close to the washer and dryer.
