Happy New Year! Everyone

So I find as the year is winding down and the new one is set to begin it gives me a chance to reflect on this past year and what I got accomplished in the reloading space

So I ask you What are your reloading Goals for next year? As always one of my big ones is to stay organized and to keep stocking up on components

No 2022 Reloading Goals here. I am well-supplied so I will just Carry On. :)

===[ EDIT ]===

Just thought of an Excellent goal for 2022 ...

I will, once again, go on the hunt for a reasonably-priced, manual, decent "Hydraulic Decapper" (whack-a-mole style) so that I can (more) easily reload some of my brass Berdan rifle cases. ;)

1. To have enough shotshells loaded to be able to go to a shoot and not have to scramble and load a couple boxes
2. To have my casting area set up, my moulds inventoried, sorted and pared down to a useable twenty or so
3. To get a sub-MOA load for my Contender 30-30 carbine
4. To eliminate about half of the stuff I've accumulated and never used.

AND, to keep my eyes open for any and all deals on powder, primers and shot.

Duh, what are we doing tonight, Brain?
The same thing we do every night, Pinky, try to take over the world.

In my case that amounts to feeding my IDPA and USPSA habit. It has been a good while since I loaded anything but bulk 9mm and .45 ACP. And the .45s largely because I have more large primers than small.

In 2022 I plan to finally get off my *** and finally build a dedicated shed (I’m thinking 12x14) for reloading and gun work. Everything is done in my shop and I have to keep everything under towels, drop clothes to keep saw dust off.

Finding powder bullet combinations to get all hunting rifles shooting 1 MOA or better, then lock in a lifetime of those components. I'm about 60% there already.

^
Should be everybody's goal for 2022!

I actually have plenty of components, minus a couple bullets I'm looking for.

For 2022:

Develop a load for my recently re-barreled Rem M7 in .260Rem
Gather the stuff to form 350RM brass and make my own, find some %$^&& Nosler .358 Partitions
Develop a new 350RM load using TAC

IF things go IAW my master plan, start loading 6.8SPC II to go along with my new night hunting coyote scheme.

I want to get a load developed for my bear(lol, deer) handgun. I have a 320gr 45colt mold,, and I want to use it for deer in '22.

Get a load developed for my new 7mm-08.

Find a good used mec 600jr for my 12ga hunting loads.

Learn to reload 9mm since I bought a new mold 124gr

Get started on 30-30.

Learn to powder coat my cast bullets
(If I knock 2 of these off my list I'll be hsppy!)

The same plan as every year: shoot more, work less, try to keep Missus happy and enjoy life just a little more.
Boy, I was pre-editing a reply in my head, but that about covers it for me, too.

If pressed for specifics I'd say I'm going to concentrate on .38/.357 loads for my new Ruger BH for the next couple months. I'd like to shoot it enough to be comfortable hunting with it next deer season.

Finish downsize my reloading inventory to just tbe rifle/shotguns my wife& i still own/shoot (6.5cm,280ai,44mag, 12-20ga)
We downsized our firearm collection in the last 2yrs from over 180 firearms in a dozen different calibers to. 8 firearms in 3 calibers &
4 scatterguns "becauseWe just never shot/used them. As it is, we probably only shoot 60-70 rounds a year but i have enough components in the cartridges, we shoot , to. Last for the next 30 yrs.
Most of what we, wont use will go to my nephew
He inherited 40 of the firearms , and we bought
Him a zero reloading press for christmas

Heavy cast wide flat nose and jacketed hollow cup bullets with 2400, 4227, or W296/H110 are going to be your best bets.

My number one goal -. STOP BUYING GUNS THAT SHOOT DIFFERENT CARTRIDGES!!!

About the time I figger I've got everything that I need, another gun shows up - and it's invariably chambered in something I don't (yet) reload or cast for.

At some point this has got to stop.
AIM surplus just got a big shipment of Chinese Type 54 pistols in 7.62x25mm. Cheap and arsenal refurbished. In case you were wondering. :D

Try to straighten up my reloading area. I've pretty much stopped shooting and reloading for the past two years.

It is not that I do not have components, I just really did not want to socialize much as well as consume my components.

My reloading area has become a catch all for all sorts of things. It is approaching competition for Fibber McGee's closet.
