What are your top two handgun powders?

With loading 17 different handgun calibers, it would be impossible to limit myself to only two powders, so I don't. I use what's necessary to get the best load for the individual caliber/bullet combination I happen to be working with at the time.

To limit your powder choices is to limit your options.

Hope this helps.

You said top 2, so I listed them, but I use about 5 other powders besides those 2 for handguns, just at nowhere near the volume of the top 2.

Nobody said anything about limiting yourself to 2 powders. The question is 2 top powders. I use Unique, 2400, Bullseye, Green Dot, Blue Dot, H110, Titegroup, HS-6, and Lil' Gun. That covers 9mm, .40 S&W, .45acp, .357 Mag, and .45 Colt. So that's a lot more than 2 powders for only 5 handgun calibers...
But my top two are H110 and Titegroup. Titegroup for respectable loads in all 5, H110 to take fullest advantage of the last 2.

Red Dot--Clays top 2, next in line n-320, titegroup, bullseye, wst. solo-1000trail boss american select to name a few.

H110 and W231 ... I do use Trail Boss for light .45 Colt loads but the first two cover everything I have and reload for which includes 9mm, .38spl/.357mag, .44spl/.44mag, .45 ACP and .45 Colt.

:)

For me ZIP and H110.

I also use Bullseye, Unique and 2400. ZIP covers most loads for 38 Special, 357 Mag and 45ACP for me. H110 is reserved for full house loads in the 357. I can't think of any loads for those 3 calibers I can't duplicate with ZIP instead of Bullseye or Unique. 2400 will load hotter rounds than ZIP but that's not in a area I care about. I seem to be using loadings from mild to medium or full house H110.

I also load Cowboy in 38 & 357 with ZIP. It's clean and economical. The only drawback is that it's denser than Bullseye. I think I could triple charge a 38 with it easily. If I ever use up the ZIP, I'll probably go to Trail Boss for Cowboy just to fill the cases.

Well for me it's Trail Boss for CAS (38 special) and AA#5 for 9mm, 5.7x28mm, & .45acp. Thats the bulk of my shooting these days. If I need a magnum powder I would add Blue Dot or 2400 for .357.
