What books do you guys recommend for a begging competition pistol shooter? I know about Brian Enos’ Practical Shooting, Beyond Fundamentals, and have seen other books on his sight, but don’t know which, if any, books you guys find helpful.

We're talking practical shooting, right? Not bullseye or IMSHA?

In addition to Brian's book, I'd get ahold of J. Michael Plaxco's Shooting from Within and Steve Anderson's Refinement and Repetition. The first is a useful, somewhat more grounded adjunct to Brian's book. The second is an extensive collection of dryfire training drills that cover almost every aspect of practical shooting.

Thanks to you that responded in detail. It helped to understand the beonefits of a particular book. Chris, Thanks a bunch. Jeff, nice list but did you get valuable information from each book? If so, please explain. Bible....I don't need miracles.

A couple people mentioned: Steve Anderson's Refinement and Repetition

Where do you buy this? I just went to Amazon.com and can't find it.

Thanks.
