G27 .40 S&W with +1 round mag finger extension. i like .40 because it's a good compromise between 9mm capacity and .45 stopping power, without 10mm overpenetration risks. it's got some kick in a small frame though, so practice is a must.

Most often is a p32

but anytime I am heading to an elevated risk area, I chose a 9mm.

As you can see I'm not a believer in bigger is better. But the p99 is the polymer gun I shoot the best ... likely because I can afford to shoot it so much more. The fact that it holds 17 rounds motivated me early, but now has zip to do with the choice.

Two carry guns.

I carry one of two pistols, both are 5" 1911 types in .45acp. Once in a blue moon I'll stuff a .380 or .32 in my pants, but only when it's swim trunks or such that won't accomodate a holster.

.357 mag, because I carry one or more SP101 snubbies virtually all the time. I often carry more than just the snubby, either one of my personally owned SIG P229 .40 duty (police) pistols, or a larger .357 sixgun. Much as I like my 1911 and single-action sixguns in .45 ACP and .45 Colt, at this stage of my life, they are rarely carried.
