I carry a 1911 most of the time ... either my Para-Ordnance C7.45LDA or my C6.45LDA when deeper concealment is needed ...

... in both cases, that makes my caliber a .45ACP. What about everybody else? What caliber is your primary CCW?

I voted .45ACP because I currently have a choice between two Colt 1911s. But I also have two Glock 19s that I occasionally wear.

I don't CCW unless out in the woods or road tripping
Taurus Ti sunb .357 for everyday short day hikes, cross contry sking or fishing with friends locally

or a 4"-6" Dan Wesson for the more remote solo trips, ocassionally a DW .44Mag for the really isolated trips (often!)

Hard to define "primary".

I prefer to carry my 1911 whenever possible, but I always have my KelTec P11. And even with my .45 on my belt, the KT is usually in a more convenient pocket, making it more likely to be deployed first in a surprise situation.

So that makes my "primary" caliber...I dunno.

I picked .45, because in a perfect (sheeple-less) world, concealment wouldn't matter.

I voted for both the 9mm and the .45ACP

I currently only have a 9mm as a CCW option, but as soon as I can afford it I'm getting a compact model 1911

G19 in warm weather

Taurus PT100 AFS .40 in winter.

Since I spent the last two years in Tucson before coming here guess which one got carried the most.;)

I carry my KP95DAO most of the time. However, the load I use pushes a 125 gr JHP out at 1350 fps. So It's really something more than an ordinary 9mm.

During cool weather, I usually carry a 9mm (Smith 439), but in hot weather, a 357 Magnum (Smith 640) in a IWB holster. The 640 is smaller and conceals better when wearing less clothing.

Para C7.45 Companion, most of the time. Second choice and carried occasionaly glock 27 .40 Cal.

If, by Primary, you mean the "main gun" in your CCW arsenal, the one you carry when you're "carrying", then I voted .40.

If, on the other hand, primary means the one you carry most often, even when you're just running to the grocery store, etc... then oops... That'd be a .38.

I'll always consider my 642 a BUG, even though it gets carried by itself quite often. But when I take the time to put on the gun belt, strap on the holster, consider the day's attire to fascilitate concealment, etc... Then there's a .40 on the hip, and a .38 in the pocket.
