I’m new to the mysteries of cap and ball. This is a 200 grain bullet from an Ideal 452 mold. It measures .453. Flat base.
I have an 1858 REM Uberti and 1860 Colt Army Pieta. In both 451 rb fits tight shoots great. 454 rb shaves a ring shoots great.
If I cast these bullets with soft lead am I headed toward a potentially good load or an aggravating waste of time?
I know someone has already done this and can give the sage advice.
Thanks
