What did santa bring you?

The best gifts I got this year were from my 5 1/2 year old twin grandsons. They got to shop the Santa Shop at kindergarten and they bought these with their own money, and wrapped them themselves.



Yes boys, grandpa loves them, 'scuse me, I have something in my eye.

I got to spend a Italian Christmas dinner with my wifes family a long way away from here. While scrounging aroung in the basement amonst old books I found my father in laws (whom I never had the chance to meet) Combat Infantry Badge from WW2. I don't think any of the other folks realized what it was. So I took it home with the families blessings.

I did not recieve any gun related gifts. I did ask for a Ruger Blackhawk, but that idea was soundly rejected by multiable family members. Not a very pro-gun family. But presants are not what christmas is about anyway. At least I did not get anymore ugly ties.

CZ 75 Compact 9mm (first gun; my choice, hope it's a good one), gun cleaning kit, mp3 player, and a new 3 bedroom house (1st time home owner). It's been a good christmas.

Some video games, clothes, and a Winchester 1300 and 250 shells.

A new Sharp Wizard organizer to replace the ancient one I've been using for far too long, clothes, a new Swiss Armt knife so I can stop abusing Dad's old one, and lots of cooking gear (cooking being my other hobby). Oh yeah, and a new leather briefcase/satchel with this nice organizer pocket on the outside. Velcro closure, and it just so happens that my Smith 649 fits perfectly inside...

A couple of nice jackets, ice skates, a rifle (ok, I had to buy this one on my own).
Plenty of time with my family and dogs.

My dad and I finally applied to CMP for an M1 for me and a 1903 Springfield for him.

I got real lucky this year. The wife let me pick out my first Christmas gift, which ended up being a nice set of Crimson Trace grips for my 642. They are on my pistol now. Sweet.

The second gift she gave me is even better. She got with my family and friends and they all chiped in to get me a Bose surround sound system for my TV. Oh man, the neighbors are gonna be pissed.
