I prefer not to get gun related gifts for Christmas. Its been that way since I got a couple boxes of .45LC, for my kimber, and glock 19 mags for my 17. But I got socks that I'll wear to the range at some point. Dont get me wrong, I like socks, I even ask for them. The less money that's spent on me is more they save or spend on the kids.
Besides, I dont ask for gun stuff, gun stuff is expensive, and if its not, I already have it, and if I dont, they may get the wrong thing. Besides, if the kids in the families have a good Christmas, well that's good enough for me.

Well I've always been lucky in keeping as good friends those I've dealt with fairly in the past.
The guy I got my S&W Mod 59 brought me a huge Basket of fruit, and I mean huge, a finely woven bushel basket of apples oranges and Bannanas, and 100 rounds of Remington 9mm 115 gr Hollowpoints to feed the beast.
The guy I bought my Savage 23B in 25/20 from remembered my mentioing that it would make a great Turkey and Groundhog gun so he bought me a new Real Tree Mossy Oak winter hunting coat and matching gloves and hat.
Might be a while before I'm up to using them but I'd been thinking about getting some good commercial camo. His brother said they'd been planning to bring me a couple of boxes of 25/20 but couldn't find any locally, which is the only reason he'd parted with the gun to begin with.
I'll be getting dies and cases soon and probably a mould, I figure this sort of old dog is best fed with homegrown anyways.
Best gift of all was having five generations of the family under one roof for the holidays. With the next crop of younguns we may form our own state.

The wife got me a Streamlight TLR-1 and a couple CMI M14 twenty round mags. Thats all I'm sure of so far because she asked what to get me and she isn't very gun savvy. She means well though. Got a few gift cards to Academy from the in-laws so I'll get some ammo.

Picked up a Tanfoglio Witness at a gun show a few months ago. Wife got me a custom made holster for it for Christmas and ordered a 10mm conversion kit that will come in the next few weeks.
Gonna have one gun that will hold 10+1 .45s or 15+1 10mms, whichever I choose for that day. Talk about the best of both worlds!
Also, got a great surprise in mail. A spring that will make a gun that has been out of commission for months work again. Already installed it.

I received the traditional gifts of beef jerky and .45 ACP from my inlaws, with some .223 and mixed nuts also.
And I'm being flat-fact serious when I refer to the above as 'traditional gifts'; this year marked nine years in a row that I've been so blessed.

Money for my annual after Christmas pawn and gunshop tour. I also bought my oldest son a Highpoint 9mm Carbine for him to plink with, a couple of boxes of 9MM rounds, as well as a 550 cheap .22 bulk pack for each of the boys, to use.

The only thing gun related for Christmas this year is... I'm buying myself a Firestorm .22 later this week. Should be fun.
Hmmm. A Colt Commander, a Glock 21-SF, a Ruger Mark II, a beautiful, heavy hunting turtle neck. I've had several neck surgeries, and while I love the cold but it kills me. I also got 3 hunting DVDs. I know...that's kind of cheating, because they are archery.

That's the Sharpshooter Supply Light Varmint Tactical, ordered in Triple Brown, with adj. cheekpiece and hook. It's going on my new Savage 12LV in .243. She asked me in November what I needed for shooting, but I didn't think she would ever order one. Won't arrive until mid-January as they are about 6 weeks for delivery.
Also got one of the Firestorm Clamp Tables, although it's for my woodworking it will also work pretty well for holding rifles when I'm working on them. Hope you all had a merry Christmas.

Mike, you'll love the little Firestorm, I got one of the long barrelled models a couple of months ago for a plinker and it's a very nice shooter.

Of course, I bought both of them for my family to wrap for me. But they did a FINE job with the wrapping.

Didn't get anything gun-related yet, in fact my grandparents are giving me money that's "not to be spent on guns". But yesterday, christmas eve, me and my dad took my M44 and CZ52 to a sinkhole and shot all kinds of stuff. It was a sad day for logs and bricks, but my best christmas eve ever.
