What did you guys get for Black Friday?

I got 12 12-gauge 100-packs for $18 each at Walmart.

I got 10 boxes of various rifle and pistol ammunition at Sports Authority for buy one and get one half off.

My buddy got a bunch of airport-legal cases on sale at Walmart for the shooting team.

To those of you who bought firearms - were they actually on sale due to it being Black Friday?

Naw, not that one. I had just sold a couple of other guns and had the money, so I drove down to pick it up.

BUT the store was having a big sale, guns included that day. They weren't too crowded when we first got there, but it filled up fast. My wife has to use a walker, so it was hard for us to get back out the door, just threading our way through the masses.

I would have braved the masses to get that Smith & Wesson Model 21-4.

We need more people like you around here. I only buy the things to keep them from having to suffer the indignity of being on the rack with a bunch of Glocks and such things. I left that one up for weeks hoping someone else would buy it. Finally it whinned and whimpered enough that I couldn't take it anymore.

Oh well. Someone has to do it.

I got a Uberti 10 shot Stallion.the gun shop "had a no tax day".I put 100 rounds through and I loved it till I got it home and it jammed up.
Long story short it has to go back for warranty work.
Can someone direct me to a thread that can answer some of my obvious concerns?
Thanks,

A day at the gun range with my son, Every one must have been out shopping as we had it to our selves.

My son and I went to the range as well, but it was a zoo! 14 lanes and a waiting list 6 or 7 deep. The owner said that Black Friday is his busiest day of the year!

Well I will humble myself by saying that I got 3 Barbie dolls [for my niece]. Her dad also participated by buying her her first bike. A 20 in. girls bike called a buttercup. Maybe in the near future it will be a .22 cricket

The organization at which I am employed was on holiday routine, so I stayed home.

I did shop, if making flight reservations and placing an order on MO Bullets count as shopping.

I was invited to shoot on Black Friday at a 25-yard outdoor range at a private camp. A guy at work booked the range for us, so there was no crowd. There were two other men in the group and 4 teens who didn't look old enough to drive, but they'd been taught to shoot handguns.

I wish I still had young eyes and reflexes. :) They were very good shots, too.

There were a bunch of guns, but the youngsters stood in line to shoot my 4-inch '67 Python after I opened a box of Remington 125's and set one off. I don't think they were hitting the advertised 1450 fps, but the flash and boom was impressive, especially under the low roof over the tables. (No, one box won't wear out a Python. This one needed breaking in anyway.)

What did I buy? I did some on line buying Sunday at sites that still had Black Friday sales. The big item was a Pro Ears Tac Gold something or other model electronic muff. 25% off and free shipping from Pro Ears made it almost reasonable.

I got 200 pair of green Leight plugs from Amazon and some odds and ends from Cabela's. I didn't know they even sold little LED lights with a motion sensor. Two for $40, but I have a small walkin hall closet with no wiring and a safe that needs a light. I also bought a little LED camp lantern for the next time the power goes out.

Hide the credit cards, hide the credit cards. Shopping can be fun if you stay at home. :)

custom knife (gifted), range box (old freeland box, had sight inserts for my redfields, competition sling, wooden ammo boxes, target patches in white and black, plug in .22 for seeing if you knicked the line, hand stop, 4-5 boxes of match ammo for my .22, rifle holders that stake into the ground... thats all I remember).

OH, and my free sample of earplugs came in. Don't remember who made em, just simple foam plugs but they work and were free.

Besides a headache?............... Cabela's dry storage box with 300 rounds of Federal .223 for $90. A good price for new brass cased .223's. Plus they gave me a $5 gift card at the door, and I get 5% back for using my card. It comes out to $0.28 a shell. $0.25 a shell if you take the cost of the dry box off. I should have gotten two.

Although after seeing this:

I hit the midwayusa black friday sale and scored 1000 55 grain Hornady .223 FMJ's for 68 bucks, booooyaaaaah!

I guess I got ripped off after all.

Garmin Nuvi 50 and a $5 Cabela's gift card.

I couldn't believe the number of whiney people that were waiting outside Cabela's with me on Friday AM. You'd think that none of them had been up that early here in Missouri in November...

On Friday, I got all the home made Bar-B-Que, baked beans, corn on the cob, cole slaw, and peach cobbler I could eat at my sisters annual Black Friday cook out. Yesterday, Cyber Monday, I got a new CZ-455 American in .22lr.

I went out to buy some patching mat'l for my driveway, as it was going to be the last 50 degree day until next april, came home with a 12 gun Centurion safe that was on sale at Lowes for $297.00 ....... That's what my wife loves about me. Got the stuff for the driveway too.

Got a Ruger 10-22 for $169 @ local Cabela's. They served cookies and hot cocoa to those of us waiting for the store to open. also had burn barrels going for warmth.

I bought my first firearm on Friday, a Ruger LC9. It had nothing to do with Black Friday, I just happened to go to a few gun shops with my dad. Great way to celebrate Thanksgiving!

Well I almost got this:

http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/77916-1.html

A Weatherby Vanguard Series 2 in 308 with a cheap scope for $386.58. Sounded like a heck of a deal.

Notice it says Series 2 in several places in the description. I thought something wasn’t right and called Weatherby to check the P/N (VCW308NR4O). Turns out it’s a Series 1 Vanguard that CheaperThanDirt is describing it as a Series 2.

Since it could be an honest mistake I emailed CheaperThanDirt and asked for clarification. They haven’t responded yet.

For those who are curious the correct P/N would a Series 2 combo would be VTK308NR40.

I got a Pardner Pump with a field barrel, a case of birdshot, 2 boxes of buckshot, and an 8 gun safe at Dick's. Then I shot a box through the Pardner and a dozen rounds through the Mosin at a coffee can. Later in the day I got some nice scratches on my Pardner and an exploded primer in the Mosin. :neener:
