I was invited to shoot on Black Friday at a 25-yard outdoor range at a private camp. A guy at work booked the range for us, so there was no crowd. There were two other men in the group and 4 teens who didn't look old enough to drive, but they'd been taught to shoot handguns.
I wish I still had young eyes and reflexes.
They were very good shots, too.
There were a bunch of guns, but the youngsters stood in line to shoot my 4-inch '67 Python after I opened a box of Remington 125's and set one off. I don't think they were hitting the advertised 1450 fps, but the flash and boom was impressive, especially under the low roof over the tables. (No, one box won't wear out a Python. This one needed breaking in anyway.)
What did I buy? I did some on line buying Sunday at sites that still had Black Friday sales. The big item was a Pro Ears Tac Gold something or other model electronic muff. 25% off and free shipping from Pro Ears made it almost reasonable.
I got 200 pair of green Leight plugs from Amazon and some odds and ends from Cabela's. I didn't know they even sold little LED lights with a motion sensor. Two for $40, but I have a small walkin hall closet with no wiring and a safe that needs a light. I also bought a little LED camp lantern for the next time the power goes out.
