    Hatsun95 .22 pellet rifle/Hawke 3x9x40

We had a rough work day here, a lot of scooping corn in a bin, and repairs on tillage tools.

I went in for supper, and mrs said it would be thirty minutes, so i thought it would be enough time to swap out scopes on my air rifle. I finally took time to mount up my new Hawke 3x9x40 with adjustable parallax.
Wow, what a nice, clear scope!
Of course i had to put a few rounds(are pellets referred to as rounds?) downrange......
Well it wasn't too far off, just a few clicks.....
Wow, the adjustments made the pellets track right into the bullseye.....
I had better set a new target and confirm zero.....

Oh yeah, she said thirty minutes.

When i got in the house, my plate was in the microwave and the dishes were done....oops.
Thankfully, I was shooting the air rifle, and she didn't know I was shooting! She thought I was working!

A man needs to know when to keep his mouth shut.!

    smart man right there!

Airguns are all I've shot lately lol. Getting my bulldog tuned up for a friend to borrow next week, also waiting on a new scope for it...needed the athlon that was riding on it for my budget precision rifle build.

I have a plate of crow to eat...
I thought I liked the original factory grips on my sp101, but i couldn't tolerate the plastic insert. I soon bought a set of tru-ivory inserts and had a Masonic emblem lazer engraved on them.
    20210411_163600.jpg

I had heard all the comments and complaints about the factory grips being knuckle busters, but it really didn't bother me much.

After a recent practice session I had a sore knuckle.
$23 buys a Hogue grip, so i decided to try one. IMG_20210425_130009.jpg
    Wow!
I like the feel, and the recoil was not an issue. Nice!
I have several carry guns, but the old Sp101 is still hard to beat. 20210425_072910.jpg
Next project: Big Dot front sight

I wish i had seen the seats!
I built one in March. It is sitting on the porch of my shop with Caldwell bags for rests.
I'll have to get pics of it. My reel wasn't in too great condition, but it makes a great bench.

Thanks to @South Prairie Jim Jim for the idea!
@Rembrandt was passing thru my area, and he stopped by for a quick visit. I talked him into shooting a few rounds off of it.
(I should got a pic of that, too! Darn it)

    Here is a little fun-gun:
My HatsanUSA. 22 pellet rifle. 900fps iirc. Hawke 3x9x40.
The south Prairie Jim shooting bench.
Look closely at the green "pellet pen" you can see 12 pellets inside. It makes loading much easier.

My range bag was heavy today. Brought a coworker to my range/lgs I frequent. Brought my TX22, TX22 Competition, Sig 226 SSE .40SW, Sig P365, Glock 35, 1895 Nagant Revolver, Heritage Barkeep, and My Henry .22 Golden Boy. There was a guy further down that walked over and saw them all laid out, all I heard was a "damn". My coworker brought his Sig 1911 9mm Elite, homebuilt 80% Glock 17, Ruger Wrangler, CZ10 Compact, and a Metro 1911 9mm

Armored Farmer has a real nice set up, enjoyed the hospitality and shooting that Python.

Sighted in the scope on dedicated "ground hog" rifle. Saw a couple today but they were too speedy.....maybe next time.

Broke in the Maverick 88 20 gauge and put 50 rounds through the EDC .642 at the local gun club. Had the place all to myself.

I took the 10/22 out to the gun club. Gathered some clays from the field. And shot them at 100 yards. Free reactive targets. :D

Put 300 rounds through my Ruger SR-22 rifle. I got my red dot sighted in just about perfect. It took about 50 rounds adjusting to get tight groups. Very pleased with this rifle. And happy with my Bushnell TRS-25 red dot. Not expensive and gets the job done.

About 150 rounds of 12ga target loads doing some sporting clays with my Beretta A300 Outlander. Fired a few rounds with my coworkers new CZ 1012, I can say I don't really care for interia guns trying his. Didnt like feeling the action slam

    Hi...
My son and I went to one of the local gun clubs we have memberships at for a few hours of trigger time.
I shot 10 rounds through my Taylor's and Co.
.357Mag lever action. 25 rounds each through my Model 27, Model 686, Taylor's and Co. SAA clone, one of my New Model BlackHawks, one of my Colt Troopers and my Old Model Blackhawk (all .357Magnums).
Ran 20 rounds each through my Dan Wesson, Model 57 and both my Old Model and New Model BlackHawks (all in .41Magnum).
Shot 25 rounds through my Model 25, both Vaqueros and my New Model BlackHawk(all in .45Colt).

Finished up with 20 rounds each through my Dan Wesson, Model 29 and both Virginian Dragoons (all in .44Magnum).

There may have been another revolver or two in the mix but that is pretty much what I shot today.

My son shot quite a few rounds in some .45ACP, .40S&W and 10mm handguns plus an unknown to me number of rounds in the same revolver cartridges that I was shooting. No idea exactly which handguns he may have shot. I do know he fired a couple dozen rounds of .45Colt through my Uberti Cimarron lever action 1873 rifle and my Taylor's .357Magnum rifle.
I don't know if he fired any rounds through my Marlin .44Magnum lever action. I never got around to shooting the .45Colt or .44Magnum lever actions today.

At any rate, we ended up with two Folger's large coffee cans full of freshly fired brass to separate and tumble tomorrow.
This is probably going to be a busy week in the reloading room.

Great day at the range: my IMI Galil, a 0.50 blackpowder rifle, Sig 232, Walther pistols in 9mm and 22LR, and a lever-action 22 LR.

Took yesterday off; shot 2" S&W model 34 about awful at 50 ft. Same for Model 15 4". Couldn't hit for ****. Shot my EDC 6906 much better and flawless function as always. Saved the day. Actually about an hour and a half. 150 rds .22, a box 9mm and .38 each in my current "rationing scheme." Joe

Put about 50 round through my 686. Surprised myself because the 2 cylinders of double action were tight groups than I shot single action.

I was working on a secluded stretch of road on an old farm, doing a rewire of the old farmhouse. I ran home for lunch and grabbed my 20gs single shot and pumped some rounds through it just for fun.

Took the .357 and the Governor out today at the gun club. The weather cleared up and I had a great time. Both guns are a pleasure to shoot. Just initial rounds through both. The .357 at 20 yards or so w/Federal FMJ and the Governor at 10 yards w/Federal 410 9oz, Hornady Critical defense (2rds) and some 45ACP. Tomorrow more gun club fun with the long guns. 357 Governor.jpg target 1.jpg target 2.jpg

Once again I had the gun club all to myself early this morning, just me, mother nature, the Hellcat and the Maverick 88. Purchased a Recoil Eraser for the Maverick and it worked the trick nicely.
