I think you'll hurt his feelings a lot more than you'll hurt WalMart's. It was a kind gesture for him to buy ammo for you, especially when it's scarce like it is now. I wouldn't turn my nose up at a generous gift like that.

Send it to me! I haven't been able to find any .380 since last year. And forget about finding HPJ. I would love to get me a few boxes of Remington Golden Saber.

I don't get the whole "I hate Walmart" thing, but if you feel guilty about it just hand a stock boy $5 to ease your conscience.

A lot of people have issues with their "Corporate American" business tactics. They destroy small businesses because small business doesn't have buying power. Meanwhile, nearly every chain operates nearly identical to Wal-mart.

There's an interesting documentry called "The High Costs of Low Prices", it's the "Bowling for Columbine" of Wal-mart. A single sided view of Wal-mart, their impact on small towns and their non-union stance.

Yeah, that's what I don't get. Anyone who is upset at Walmart hasn't been paying attention to the American economy for the last hundred years. All things trend toward the national chain model. Sears did it 100 years ago to big-city independent merchants. No one is upset at Sears. Wal-mart just did the same thing in small towns. It's really a genius business model, and I believe it helps more than it hurts. Yes, the small time merchants get squeezed out but that's the law of the jungle.

Is anyone here going to tell me they buy all of their ammo from the local gun store at the 100% markup? Didn't think so.

Take the gift. Your son obviously doesnt share your feelings about Walmart or else he was thinking "any port in a storm"

I understand your distain for Walmart. I dont like an American corporation using my tax dollars as part of their business plan for their associates health care. I never shop there. Yes I do pay mom and pop prices. Mom and pop have been and always will be my business of choice. This is not really up for debate. No one is going to change their mind about Walmart. Some people are so poor they must shop there.

You didn't shop at WalMart, you didn't go against any of your principals. Your son was thinking of you and helping you out. I would accept it and be proud I have a son who looks out for his old man! :)

Ditto! I know I would be (actually have been) angry/hurt when thoughtful acts such as this were scorned.

If it's me I'd take the ammo. My appreciation for my son and my son's love for his father is and will always be far greater than my hate for any store/business.
