I think you'll hurt his feelings a lot more than you'll hurt WalMart's. It was a kind gesture for him to buy ammo for you, especially when it's scarce like it is now. I wouldn't turn my nose up at a generous gift like that.

A lot of people have issues with their "Corporate American" business tactics. They destroy small businesses because small business doesn't have buying power. Meanwhile, nearly every chain operates nearly identical to Wal-mart.
You didn't shop at WalMart, you didn't go against any of your principals. Your son was thinking of you and helping you out. I would accept it and be proud I have a son who looks out for his old man!
