What do ya'll use for throwing powder for .380?

The Lee Charge Bar with micrometer adjustment has worked for me with small charges of HP38. Not so much with the Titegroup though.

Uniflow with a small micrometer setup. Works great even down to 32acp. I never liked 25acp though. Too small for my fingers. I am sure the Uniflow will work with it though.

When I was loading .380, I was using a Hornady Pistol measure. It had brass bushings for charging. I also used AA #2 which metered nearly perfectly. The measure did quite well with other powders though.

These days I would use my 10X dropping automatically on my LNL, if I still loaded .380. I do load .32 ACP, Long, & Mag with it.

Hmm...I've thought about making a disk for the Lee, using a counter bore and bushing setup like Walkalongs Hornady pistol. (I've never seen these, no longer available?) Perhaps the bar/bushing combo would be 1/2 height of standard Lee so the holes could be larger for any given volume. For small charges of a given powder (type) there must be a practical limit as to how small a diameter hole will prevent bridging. Using a hole slightly larger than that minimum, the volume could be varied by then using a counter sink of varying depths. I theorize it's possilbe to create bushings in .1gr increments this way, but I'd also theorize an unpractical quantity of bushings would be needed. Further, made from aluminum, bushings could be coated with some of that super slick stuff on non-stick cookware. I know that powder does not stick (static) to my Satern aluminum funnels.

Oh yeah, these bushing would be much easier/quicker to change than the current disks. Insert a case, raise the ram, pop out the bushing. No more hassles with taking the measure apart.

Unfortunatley I no longer have access to the machinery needed to make such a device, so someone else would have to run with it and let us know how/if it works.

The bushing were 1/2 by 1/2. I made some of my own from 1/2" brass stock. I also used to buy a smaller one and hone it out bigger to get what I wanted. The bushings are long gone as far as buying them. The system worked well, it just wasn't as flexible due to the set bushing sizes.

having same issue as OP

I am looking at the knock of Micro Disk for my lee classic turret press. I just obtained the dies for .380 and had spent some time getting my 100gr lead flat nose setup where it would work with my wife's Sig 238 (it is more finicky then my LCP or Bersa) and was disappointed when I could not start loading my Bullseye at what I consider a reasonable beginning load.
I was getting varying results with the micro adjustable charge bar, to say the least.

I use a Lyman 55 and have used it for .32 even. I have used Red dot and Unique for .380s.
