I don't now or have I ever owned a .270. I've tracked way to many
.270 shot deer to want one. Yes, I know it was lousy shooters and that
the .270 has killed everything from chipmunks to white rhinos.

I've used one .270 or another since the 1960s. The one that I currently use is the Winchester 70 LH, the middle rifle in the photo, stainless with the wood stock. I've loaded rounds for the .270 from 90 grains to 150 grains and all have worked great.

My new deer gun this year is my S&W M&P 15 with a Stag 6.8 SPC II upper. It is light, short and scary accurate out to 300 yards. For anything longer I have my .308
Are you trying to stir the pot? :neener:;)

The OP didn't specify .270 Win. The 6.8 is a .270 Lite.

I have my Dads J C Higgins model 50 in 270 ! It has been used since the
1950's. My favorite load right now is the 160 gn Nossler Partition with reloader 19.
