When I'm serious:

Accuracy systems Customized Mini-14, 20", 1 in 8" twist, .85" thick bbl, all the bells and whistles with a Leupold 3.5-10x Tactical scope

Browning Gold Hunter with extended mag tube. 8+1 capacity

Heavily Customized Para P16-40 Limited gun Firing Major 40 ammo.

When I'm playing for fun (lately)

Same Mini-14

Remington Wingmaster 20 gauge with a 26" bbl and 8+1 capacity

S&W 610 Classic firing Minor loaded 40 S&W ammo.

Both sets in Tactical division.

Old skoolll......

At my club, www.udpl.net I compete with
Beretta 1201 12 ga. -No Modifications-
Colt 1911 in either .45 or .9mm (depends on ammo supply) -No modifications-
Colt AR-15 (1964 vintage) old school -No modifications-

I like to think I do alright with my equipment, some days are better than others.

Benny Hill 20" upper with his comp and a Simmons Pro-Diamond scope, on a Bushmaster lower with JP trigger. If I were going to do it again, I would have an 18" barrel because the 20+comp is a bit long. I got it just before USPSA lowered the rifle PF to 150.

Remington 1100 Competition Master with Choate mag tube extension (gives 9+1).

Lately, Glock 17. Dawson basepad on one mag (22+1), so 40 rounds with one reload. When I get the Para P14-45 fixed, I will go back to that. The .45 is just more fun.

RRA M4 with an EOTech 512..nothing else fancy,
Para P-16 Ltd with Dawson extended basepad 20+1 mags,
870 with a 9+1 tube.

I'm never gonna be anyone special in IPSC...I just like to shoot to the best of my ability and play games with guns!

Remington 1100 Tactical 22"
16" JP/Viking Tactical with optics
Glock 17 with Dawson fiber optic sights

PTR-91 (HK-91 clone), stock peep sights
Mossberg 500, 20" bbl, 7+1, ghost rings. Or when available I happily borrow my friend's Winchester Practical SX2 :)
USP Expert .40, jet funnel and 16-rd mags.

I'm just out there to have fun and I shoot-what-I-got.

I'm definitely not giving up the PTR-91. There's no better feeling than beating the occasional AR at their own game. Even better when they have mechanical issues and I keep on ticking.

Me:
FN Hi-Power .40 (major) Bone Stock
Remington 1100 18" Bbl, 6rnd Side Saddle, 7+1, Holosight
M1A Loaded w/Burris 1.5-6x Ill. Ret Euro Diamond

The Wife
Para SSP .38 Super (minor) Bone Stock
Remington 1100 18" Bbl, 6rnd Side Saddle, 7+1, Holosight
M1 Garand - Korean Vintage Bone Stock.

spencerhut,

Interested to see your post. What are the 3 gun equipment rules?

I've done IDPA with not legal gear because I really don't care about official records, but just wanted to enjoy the activity. I've thought about trying 3 gun with

S&W 627 (8-shot with moonclips)
Mossberg Persuader (5 and 1)
M1 Garand of WWII vintage.

???

Benelli M2 (9+1+1)
STI 2011 in 9x19 or 40 depending on the match.
JP AR-15 with Trijicon 1.5-4 Accupoint or Nightforce 1-4.

That also seems to be the norm around here.

Tubb2000 in 6XC for MOR stuff, although Remington 700s and AI rifles are the norm.

Another Saiga 12 user

I've got a parts AR, 18 in bbl free floated with a carbon fiber tube, JP trigger, nice Meostar glass (1-4x kdot).

Para P16 with 20 round mags and a super sweet trigger.

Saiga 12, Kobra optic

I shoot local matches exclusively, doubt that will change untill I can practice a bit more regularly.

Guy,

Sorry about the late reply, I've been a little busy. I only shoot local matches here in Central CA. Mariposa Fish and Game, Coarsegold (Sun Mountain) or the Fresno gun club. nothing too serious. We just have fun. It's a "run what you brung" kind of thing. :D
