I need to choose a sub compact for a concealed carry gun but there's so much to choose from. I have thought about it and I now I want a semi automatic not a revolver.

Maybe a PPK (probably not though), Glock 26 or possibly a 27, Kahr 9 ?

What have you guys used or are using right now that has worked well for you?

I tried using my 24/7 haha but there's just no way to conceal it.

Also how do you guys carry yours cause I was really leaning towards an ankle holster?

Ditch the ankle holster.

I have 3 main carry guns. G26, G30, and a Mil Pro PT145.

The G30 is more of a winter gun for 2 reasons: More clothes to hide it, and if the need arises, more clothes to penetrate. The Taurus is slimmer but not as well made as the Glock.

In Texas' climate the G26 gets the most carry time.

I have shot the G27 and the recoil was a bit snappy. But I dont like the round so I may have been biased.

I usually carry in a Bianchi minimalist. Throw on a light cover shirt and go with it. Sometimes I use the IWB clip on model they have.

For long drives I choose a high noon shoulder holster. I am still trying to make up my mind on it.

Take all this with a grain of salt, I have only had my permit for about 6 months now, and am trying to figure out the "perfect combination."

Figure out which one you shoot better and go with it.

I carry my G26 in a Galco Ankle Glove. I really like it. I can carry with just about everything in my closet. I wear my shirts tucked in so unless its winter or Im in my suit I dont have a cover garment. It works really well with medium height boots if you are going to be active. When Im in my suit and dress shoes its comfortable but im sitting or standing mostly.

During winter, I can pretty much carry anything (usually it's a USP .45c). In t-shirt weather, other considerations become important: width and length of grip.

The carry guns that have worked best for me IWB under a t-shirt are Kel-Tec PF-9, Kahr PM9, Walther PPK/S. I might also consider the Walther PPS. For me, slimmness is very important in a summer carry gun.

i have a kel-tec p3at that i bought for deep concealment, but in retrospect i think that the small increase in size to the pf9 is worth the much greater power of a 9mm round over a 380. however, i have been happy with my p3at and kal-tec has a good reputation amongst LEOs around here

Pocket carry - Kahr PM9
IWB - endless options. I happen to like Glocks; G26, G27, G23, G29
OWB - endless options - see IWB and add 1911's, Sig P226, P220

i have a kahr k-40 that i love, it is reliable accurate, conceals well and is easy to carry all day, i also use a xd sc which is a great ccw. i carry mine iwb in a kydex holster, it is reliable, accurate, concealable, and has high cap abilities!
