The OP says: Quote; "what Glock should REALLY bring out instead of a 9 mm G42"
#1. The G-42 is a .380, not a 9mm
#2. To Glock, manufacturing hand guns is a "business", NOT a "hobby"
#3. Most businesses are "in business" to make a profit, for which most of the successful businesses have a "business model";
#4. I think Glock's business model is to produce a very reliable weapon in a caliber that will "appeal" to as many folks as possible, the better to sell as many "copies" as possible.
#5. How long has Glock been "in business"? 35 years, (give or take? )
#6. Glock recently produced and sold their 10,000,000 (that's 10 million pistols)
It would seem to me that Glock must be doing quite a few things "right"?
#7. Glock needs to change it's "grip angle"; have you ever watched that fellow who is the Captain of Glock's competition team shoot with his G-17L? Apparently the "grip angle" on his Glock is "just right"!!!
#8. Are you a Colt fan? Would you like to invest your $$$ in Colt shares? (They've been around a little longer than Glock, but it sure looks like Glock may "be around" longer than Colt! )
#9. I can't think of anyone who has sold more pisols in less time, (and no doubt made more $$$ than Glock has.........can you?
#10. Speaking of "grip angles"........have you fired a new Taurus "Curve" yet?
(would you even WANT TO? )
I guess all of the above adds up to, "different strokes for different folks" or else "you can please some of the folks "some" the time, you can please all of the people "now & then", but you can't please All of the folks ALL of the time.
(and my sincere apology to any new Curve owners.....(I just couldn't help myself! )
