Need some advice on a glue in stock/reciever - namely - what brand or type of glue should I use?
Have the the reciever bedded, and the "spacers" put on, but don't know what kind of glue to use.
BTW, Williams reciever and Mcmallian stock.

Well actually, very few people glue the receiver / barreled action in the stock.

Glass bedding might be what you are thinking about.

In that case Brownell's Acra-Glas, or Acra-Glas gel is one that has been used successfully since glass bedding was invented.

If you truly do want to glue the action in the stock, Acra-Glas will do that too.
Just don't use the release agent when you glass bed it.

RCMODEL - I actually DO HAVE TO glue the receiver in the stock, it is already bedded with devcon.
It is very common with most benchrest rifles. Pretty much the only way possible to install a receiver in a McMillan hv benchrest stock.
Only thing - I have zero experience doing this, and zero knowledge about the epoxy used.

On the rare occasion when a customer wanted his action glued in the stock, we used JB Weld.
Have you already drilled the stock so you can remove the trigger pins for cleaning ?

Once upon a time I worked at G. McMillan & Co.
