I feel like it makes PERFECT sense

1911-.38super (the .45 makes little sense in the gun)

I don't get how the .45 doesn't make since in the gun.....the .45 MADE the gun
and after all, for 100 years it has seen combat everywhere that the U.S. has been (at least I'm 99% sure it has) chambered in none other than....wait for it....45 ACP

some things are up for argument....this is not one of them ;)

30.06 -> 1903 Springfield
+1
The 1903 is an excellant rifle and the 30-06 was made for it.

As far as other guns go,
Warning there might be some bias here :p
7.62x25 CZ-52
.22 (user's preferance :D)
7.62x54r Mosin nagant of course.
45acp 1911
375 winchester Winchester model 375 or 94 not sure what its real name is

.22lr = Marlin 39A
.22 WMR = Ruger 77/22 MKII
.32 ACP = Seecamp
.38 = S&W mod 10
.357 = Colt PYTHON
9mm = FNP
.40= Glock
.45 ACP = 1911
.30-06 = 1903
.303 = Enfield
.308 = FAL
.556 = M16
12g is a toss up between Rem 870 and Moss 500
