Caliber::That is the dimeter of the bore of a firearm. 17, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27,28,30,33,35 and 41 caliber are the ones I have had, I have guns that one can cast 20, 16, 12, and 10 lead round ball from a pound of lead to fire in the bore of the gun but I dont know the caliber of the guns except the .410 shotgun which I dont have. Guage , the number of round lead balls from a pound of lead. ==Some have listed a fine group of cartridges and shot shells that can be fired from their firearms.

Yep. As it turns out, though, you are spinning your wheels. See my post #92.
Good enough is the enemy of excellence.

I have the only four calibers any Gun Loving American should IMHO,

.45 ACP- SIG TAC OPS 1911
.223/5.56- Bravo Company/Spikes Tactical AR15
7.62x39mm-Norinco NHM-91 RPK variant Ak47
12 guage- Remington 887 Nitro Mag tactical

As far as ammo that i have, well that is a different story as of last count (several months ago) I have over 23 calibers represented in my storage, many of which i have never owned a gun to shoot them. From 17hmr to 243 laupua and 6.5x284 and much more

I've got many of the common ones, but here are a few that you don't see as much.

8MM Mauser
.303 British
7.5 French
7.65 MAS (.32 French Long)

My collection of calibers looks like a lottery ticket. Maybe I should play the numbers, although, I don't gamble. ;)

I don't have a caliber collection as such.....I do have and do reload for than forty cartridges. Those cartridges span a caliber spread from 0.223" to 0.510".

Questions: If and when you buy ammo, do you ask for a box of calibers? If you reload, do you reload a box of calibers?
When you load a magazine or a cylinder, do you load with six, seven, thirteen calibers?
Cartridge is a nice word.

Pete
Forty cartridges per box?
I thought the boxes hold 50 cartridges!

.22lr, 9mm, .45 ACP, .357 mag, .223/5.56, .308, 7.63x39, 12 gauge, 20 gauge

I try to stick with the four basics, 9mm, 45, .223, and .308. I feel everyone should have a .22 and the .357 mag is because I just wanted a wheel gun. The 7.62 is an SKS I have never shot and dont even have ammo for. My dad got it for me when the old AWB was about to be passed so ill always keep it, just don't feel the desire to go shoot it with all my other toys. (He has one too and I have shot it)

I don't typically include shotguns because I don't like shooting them but have them for hunting and defense purposes.

I doubt I will ever add another caliber to the list, I don't want to have to reload for anything else and I can easily satisfy all my needs and wants with what I have listed.

My collection is pretty small at the moment. Currently I have 22lr, 40 S&W, 357 Sig, 7.62x54mmR, and 12 gauge. I also have an old break action 32 S&W but since its over a century old I wouldn't trust it to fire so I haven't purchased any ammunition for it.
