My grandfather had a substantial firearms collection. He died when I was about 10 so I did not know him well. But one of the rifles I was shown was a very old rifle that he had all of his kids and grandkids carve their names into. I don't know whatever happened to this rifle, but this is the kind of customization I wouldn't mind having. I am thinking about starting this tradition myself and passing it down through the generations.
