Been thinking about this a while...

I've got a few in the safe, some that I carry, some that I hunt with, some just for plinking, some that spend more time in the safe than they should....

But if I had to pick just one that more or less sums me up, it would be my GP100. I wear it when I'm out in the woods and working my land. Snakes, deer, tin cans, and a bobcat have seen its business end. It's lost a good amount of bluing and there are some spots where rust got to it before I had the chance to clean her back up. At first the wear and tear bothered me, but the more I carry it, the more I've come to really appreciate its character. I love this gun. Rough around the edges, not the prettiest out there, but has always had my back....

Wondering what that gun might be for you all THR folks.

Hmmm. The guns I carry and depend on almost daily aren't exactly what I would want to represent me. I guess I need a new gun! :D

If I had to pick one that is almost always with me and doesn't look too funky, I guess my Glock 36 would have to do.

I'm a BSS 12 gauge SXS not a lot of glitz or glamor just two shots when you need'em and capable of of a lot more than looks would indicate.

I would have to go with my Winchester Model 21 in 16 gauge. Just something about it I relate to... classic American style, sturdy, and reliable. If I owned one, I might say a Winchester model 12 as well.

S&W Model 15 Combat Masterpiece,,,

My one gun that sums me up,,,
My S&W Model 15 Combat Masterpiece.

Classically good looking,,,
Not too big & not too small,,,
Powerful enough to get the job done,,,
It has enough functionality to never be obsolete.

Yep,,,
That's me!

Can phrase this in the form of 10 arbritary questions about my personality/lifestyle. Then you can decide which 5 random guns from a list has the same personality as me, also make it linkeable to facebook so I can tell all my friends how I have the same personality as an inanimate object.

I would have to be an 1895. Not to big, not to small. Simple and dependable. Could be mitaken for a smaller caliber......until I go off.

Just for the record, I don't do Facebook. I don't quite get the references to it. I do promise though that none of this will be turned into some touchy feely psycho babble.

Just curious how people see themselves....

I can understand that,,,
in a way it's that old saw about people and their pets.

Back when I was a svelte karateka,,,
I owned a sleek orange-brindle greyhound.

Now that I'm 62 and no longer svelte (or a karateka),,,
I own an old fat Maine Coon cat that sleeps 20 hours a day. ;)

Wait a minute,,,
Maybe I'm a blunderbuss also. :what:

Just theres about a billion online quizzes following the format "which <insert random pop culture reference/inanimate object here> are you?"

You answer about 10 questions and it spits out an answer along with a paragraph explaining why the can-opener is the kitchen appliance that best matches your personality, then you get to post it to facebook/forum.

They've been around since about day 2 of the internet, but wern't overly annoying until facebook became a thing; after people started posting them on facebook it was over.

edit: Just googled "which gun are you" 5 of the 1st page of results were exactly what I described above.

I don't do Facebook either, so this is kind of new to me.
I guess the firearm that would fit me is the S&W model 10, not the latest or greatest, kind of old fashioned, average size and looks, but dependable and fun to be with.

S&W model 19 4". Close as I can come to the all-around handgun.

Rem 870 12ga. 24" barrel with Remchokes. The all-around shotgun. (for me)

YMMV

If my Maine Coon only got 20 hours a day, he would feel sleep deprived! :)

I'm definitely a Mateba---works well enough, overly complicated, good looking in a strange sort of way, and an answer to a question never asked.
