I have an XD45 for my truck gun, dead bang reliable, well built and cheap enough I won't whine if it's stolen but I only leave it in the truck at work, all other times I have a carry gun on me because bad guys usually won't wait for you to go to your truck.

Most of us automatically go to an inexpensive yet reliable pistol for their vehicle based weapon. However, an accurate, reliable, simple rifle certainly is best where 4-legged varmints may need to be dealt with.
Especially if you already carry an edc ccw.
Keeping your varmints in check on your property makes for successful hunting seasons.
