I finally looked over the new 632PP recently. My reaction... $750 on the shelf? A 627 Pro is $75 more, for goodness sakes! Ported? I really don't understand. Six shots... the 3" 63 due next month will hold 8 - okay, they are .22's. The 3" 60 Pro is over a C-note cheaper, a tad lighter, and comes better equipped - including nice wood stocks - and chambers five .38s or real Magnums. J-frames all.
I don't see why they didn't come out with a K-frame variant. A 3"-4" non-ported in SS would be nice. Decent sized grips, too - and adjustable sights, of course. Make it a plinker/lite woods gun. The 632PP is too large for anything but a belt holster anyway - the better lockwork of the K-frame would be nice. That would get a bunch of the plinker crowd interested - maybe my dealer could find more than that Federal .327 Magnum round to stock. Yeah, a Marlin levergun would be nice, too.
Of course, what do I know... I never thought plastic .38's would be so popular - especially after shooting the LCR. Never thought my 642 would look so good... Maybe I'm just an elderly flatulance?
