What is a great holster for an m&p 45 compact? (not CCW yet)

What would be an excellent holster for an m&p 45 compact? I don't have my CCW permit, I just need a regular holster. I have heard great things about black hawk holsters, my brother also has one for his glock 30. I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks.

I recommend Blackhawk! SERPA CQC holsters. Easy to use and operate, and they have no downside, imo.

My .02 on the Serpa holsters. I believe half the cost of the holster is tied up in the retention device (R&D and production). If you need that device, and there certainly are folks that need that level of retention, it is a good choice. If you are just looking for a range holster, you're paying $40 for $20 worth of holster.

Wow those comp-tac holsters are nice too. A little pricey for me the blackhawk is only 30 and looking realy perfect for me. Does anyone else have any more ideas for me?
