It seems as if all retailers are raising the prices on Glock mags by at least 40%Anyone know why this is happening? I got off the phone with CDNN and they wouldnt comment as to why, only that it indeed is true. Anyone got the inside scoop on this?

Speaking of Glock mags and CDNN..
They had some on sale for $6.99..but they don't work very well.

supply and demand...

the supply is shrinking because of all the ones that keep getting damaged in kabooms...

the demand is growing because all of the people that keep having kabooms are having to replace their mags...

but of course glock still says its bad ammo :-D

Glock announced a couple of weeks ago that they were raising mag prices 40%. They also plan to raise handgun prices ab out $50 in the next few weeks. Considering the rise in cost of raw materials, and the fact that they have not had a price increase in a very long time, I find it hard to fault them for this. I was lucky and got 3 G18 33rd mags at the old price from a local dealer who had them left over from before the price increase.

Its a Dollar versus Euro issue.

Last I checked, all things Glock were made in the land of the Euro.

Absolute craziness. Don't use a voice of reason. No one wants to hear it:D

I can agree with price increases due to increases in material costs, but a 40% increase on magazines alone? :scrutiny:

Are they trying to Copy HK?

I already pay $20-$30 each for Glock Mags, tacking on another 40% will hike that up to $28-42 each! :what:

Yup. Like many price increases, people don't realize:
It's not the value of the product that's going up, it's that the value of the dollar buying it is plummeting.

Everything has gone up around 50% in 2 years except my salary.

For those economically inclined: contrast the M0 (total cash) figure with M3 (total money) graphs of late. We're facing major inflation, and nobody is saying anything.

The cost of plastic has not increased 40%........

The Dollar is just worth less compared to the Euro, copared to what it was....

Steel magazines haven't gone up that much. I guess those Europeans keep thinking plastic is gold.

If the dollar loses 40% of its value against the Euro, anything you buy from Europe costs 40% more even if the actual price in Euros doesn't change one bit.

Because the cost of oil is going up and Glock magazines are made of plastic.

Tommy Lee Jones left that one out when you got rid of that nickel plated sissy pistol with the metal mags.

I was just at the CDNN site and the mags for my 23 are $16.99. Considering what mags cost for my M&P and Sig this is way cheap.

I just bought 10 hi-cap mags for my G19 at the last Phoenix gun show for $125. Sure glad I did. Compared to other magazines (plastic or metal) they are still one of the best buys around. Heck the cheapest price I could find for my Ruger was $32 for ten rounders.

Oh that's priceless! ROFL! You are going to give someone a conniption fit!
