All those who swear an oath to serve the Country, consider:

The Country is not geography.

The Country is not government.

The Country is not monuments, buildings or statues.

The Country is not men of wealth, men of power, tycoons, captains of industry and big business and their influence.

The Country is not Politicians, elected or otherwise, for they swore an oath (which they frequently betray to serve their careers and their own agenda) to serve the Country as well.

The Country is not comprised of agencies, services, divisions, bureacracies nor their agents.

The Country is not Generals and Corporals and Lieutenants.

The Country is not Hummers and Bradleys and fighter jets and aircraft carriers.

I love the flag, with her red, white and blue, but even so, the Country is not a flag, regardless of who wraps themselves in it.

The Country is "We the People" and the Constitution we established to guide and govern us, and preserve our rights.

If you swore an oath to defend the Constitution and the Country, then consider well whose interests you ought to be serving.

Who swears an oath to the country?

Most people I know swear to protect and defend the Constitution.
