I bought upper part of a firearm, a Lewis Machine & Tool rifle-length upper AR receiver, with the proprietary quick-change barrel system, that uses two bolts, torqued from the side, rather than a conventional barrel nut. In the same order, I bought a 20” stainless steel 5.56 barrel. I already had the LMT BCG and ambi charging handle, new in their bags, awaiting the new upper. I had been debating whether to acquire a longer-range turn-bolt rifle, but decided to stay within the AR15/M4 system, for now, with a DMR-ish weapon. I already had a Spuhr mount and Leupold scope, awaiting an appropriate rifle, upon which to perch. This should be fun.
I then acquired several hundred rounds of the appropriate 77-grain ammo, which fortuitously appeared, in stock, at Midway USA.
Shortly after that, I added another Seecamp LWS-32. Pre-owned, but pristine, from a local dealer.
I think I am done, buying firearms, for the year. It is getting difficult to justify spending more money, on firearms. Ammo, and/or the ability to load more ammo, is more important, for now.
