Checked on my order today. It has been a week and for some reason it never got ordered until this morning. I was there to use the range anyway, and when they realized they had failed to order my gun promptly, they let me have my range time for free, so there is a $14 savings.

I stopped in at the olde Gun Shoppe this afternoon just to say hey to a buddy that works there. I did not plan on buying a gun. In fact I told myself I was NO WAY buying a gun.

The first one is a Winchester 1894 in 30 WCF made in 1900. The second is Belgian 48 cal pocket pistol that I am guessing was made early to mid 1800s. Both are tight as can be and in perfect working order. It was one of those deals I couldn't pass up. I am going to put my 1969 '94 up for sale and hope I can break close to even. The 150+ year old pistol cost less than a Traditions copy and is a real keeper for a pocket pistol collector like me. Win 94.jpg belgian.jpg

20220924_205100.jpg 20220924_205051.jpg 20220924_201914.jpg My birthday is Monday, payday today, so decided to pay off some lay aways and buy my own birthday presents. A clean Yugo 24/47 Mauser and an older Sig M400 AR. Got the AR just in case with all the talks of bans again. Might make it a beater competition rifle or something like that. Already has stuff done but would like to know what the original configuration was

The last one I bought and have possession of (MD has a 7 day waiting period) is a SIG P365 I picked up on Thursday. On Friday, I bought a Glock 22 that I pick up this coming Friday (MD does have a one gun a month law, but I have a MD State Police issued collectors letter which lets me buy as many as I want, so I often go years without buying, and then buy several in a short period when I do buy again).

Needs a shoulder stock, then you can be like Angel Eyes from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

Saw that movie in the 1970s but don't remember that part. There was a guy in England (You Tube) with one of these that had a rod sticking out the back of the grip with a weight on the end. Said it helped balance the gun. I am just looking for a case.

Experimented with bore photos. Bore light in the chamber, camera on flash to prevent the bore light from overwhelming the exposure and this is what I got in two tries. This is a cheap digital camera from about 20 years ago. I have an old Pentax with an F1.4 lens and extension tubes, but haven't run that since the early 1980s, and it is film, not digital, so...

I bought a chiappa little badger, one of those break action ultralight 22LR pack rifles.Chiappa Firearms // Little Badger
Possibly against my better judgement as several years ago I bought its big brother the Double badger, 410/22LR folding combo. That gun was a nightmare of warranty returns. However the little badger seems to get better reviews. I will mount a small bushnell red dot on it and if I can find an ammo choice that groups 2" at 35-40 yards I will keep it.

Taurus TX22. With the price of 9mm, and the scarcity of primers, I mostly practice with .22 now. The TX22 is close enough to my 9mm in size that it fits my holsters OK, so draw and target acquisition are pretty much the same. I usually finish range sessions with a couple mags of 9mm.
Pistol is accurate and not fussy about ammo, and not very expensive. 16 Rd. magazines in a .22? First pistol I've seen with that. How about 21 rds. with adapters from tandemkross.com ...
Clean your magazines as soon as you get them! The secret to reliability with this puppy..

I always thought "Angel Eyes" was the man with no name. Wasn't the removable stock model P revolver owned by Col. (Douglas) Mortimer [Lee Van Cleef]?

I ordered a Mossberg 500 combo (12 gauge, 28" field barrel and an 18.5" security barrel) yesterday. Probably be my 20th Mossy 500 to own over the years.

Last gun as of 05 October, 2022. At a local gun show I found (and purchased) a Spanish (Basque) .25 ACP/6.35mm pistol, which may or may not work correctly; and a 1913 Smith & Wesson semi-automatic in .35 S&W caliber (which is shockingly similar to .32 ACP). Haven't received it yet, but I have a Walther #9 (6.35mm) on the way.

On a side note, it's not new in any sense, but a sporterized 1905 Dutch rifle is having a spring replaced to resume being a repeater. I don't know how long this is going to take, but it's been out of commission for a long time anyway.

"Angel Eyes" was Mortimer. (Lee van Cleef)
"Blondie" (Eastwood) was The Man with No Name. (SOURCE [1st paragraph])
Tuco was apparently the only one with a name, hehehe.

I was thinking he's about done, but I just saw he released a movie last year. (Cry Macho, which didn't do well)

    Van Cleef was Angel Eyes

Cry Macho, 2 hrs of life I will never get back.
The premise was good, the story continuity was pathetic. Very surprising for a Mal Paso movie. Editing butchered?

It was shot during the worst part of COVID; they decided to press on rather than wait. I wonder if that had anything to do with it. (people sick or otherwise unavailable at the wrong times, etc.)
