:( I purchased a lightly used 547 rifle in .22 cal..The extractor did not function properly..So I gave it to my gunsmith to fix..(Someone had put 2 right hand extractors on the bolt..)They would not send him the parts.Nor would they allow him to ship it directly to them.He had to ship it to Ohio (Some Distributor ??) and They sent it to the C.Shop.. I get it back and the did fix the extractor problem..But they also set my beautifully tuned trigger to factory specs..(they said it was unsafe???) I take the rifle to the range ..(Finally) to see what ammo it likes..As i shot the rifle it will not consistently group with any ammo..(25 or 50 yards 2 or 3 shot clover leaf then 3 or 4... 1 inch fliers) Same results with 3 different shooters.. I take the rifle back to my friend the Gunsmith and he looks at the 4 arm of the stock.. The barrel is not aligned properly in the channel...It is off by a good 1/8 of an inch plus...So Now I am going to have it Pillar bedded and the barrel free floated... This gun should have never left their Custom Shop in this Condition..IMHO.:cuss:. Does anyone have similar experiences??? Thanks

Nope, but you also state you purchased a "lightly used" rifle.
Somebody figured out it was a lemon before you.

Ok, you got me at a good time as they also screwed up my 870.

First off, the setting at the factory must be no lighter than 3 pounds. This is a CYA, and it's all over their manuals. Depending on the type of trigger system you have adjustment may not be that hard.

Now, the barrel being off by that much DOES NOT SURPRISE ME. This is the same problem I'm having, and it's resulting in impossible extraction. A gunsmith told me you have to keep sending them back until they see it.

My advice, send again. Call first and let them know what happened. The guy I spoke with last week was pissed off that they didn't fix it right the first time, sent another pre-paid label, and gave me his extension to follow any repairs.

Bottom line, it has happened to me with other manufacturers. The times that upset me the most is when I'm paying for shipping, which only happended once.

Very true.. I am a little disappointed that they did not take care of the Barrel problem at the same time...It never should have left the shop that way in the first place..
