What is this one of a kind mini14 found at an estate sale?!

I'd jump on it regardless of the price they are asking, talk about a sucker for Mannlicher stocks, I too have never even ran across a mini-14 in such a manner as this. All though I'd be interested in the repeatable accuracy of the said rifle, I'm quite sure it would find a place in one of my gun vaults as a keeper, and a conversation piece.

I freaking love Mannlichers. And I hate mini-14’s. Every one I’ve ever handled shot minute of barn. BUT, if the accuracy is there, then I would totally own that rifle. Even not knowing about the accuracy, I would have likely bought it at the estate sale.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't really need another Mini-14 but I added it to my watch list anyway. What with what's coming due for taxes this year I probably shouldn't bid on it. But you never know. If it doesn't get run up it's always good to own something unique if you can get it at a good price.

@bhhacker - you might want to add a few more pics. Pics make the sale. Pics of the chamber, the bore, the block, etc. All descriptions or explanations where material to a potential buyer's bid. NRA condition/grade. You have one pic, eg, that appears to show stock damage. The pic is considered adequate "as-is" disclosure. However, an explanation would be considered by a buyer to be evidence of reliable intent to fully disclose any material discrepancy or shortcoming relevant to the buyer's best bid. Just FYI from an experienced buyer; I hope it's helpful. ;)

...and who knows, I might even talk myself into bidding yet....

Thank you for your input, I will add more pictures tonight!

Harsh crowd. I added it to my watch list, but agree I would not otherwise have done so on a "used" with so little supporting detail.

Neat.

It doesn’t follow the checkering lines or have the stock appearance of a factory RSI like my M-77 and 10-22 RSI’s, but I think it’s pretty doggone cool nonetheless. :)

Stay safe.

I have added more pictures. Hopefully that helps. Someone has bid so I cannot add anything else to the text side of things. Hopefully this shows more information for NRA condition, etc.

Sitting at $105, so I bid $500 for fun. Instantly outbid, lol.

Will be interesting to see how high it goes. Cool rifle, but $500 is the most I'd pay for any Mini-14; even one as cool as this one.

It's all good... I went down the Gunbroker rabbit hole thanks to this thread and am now the high bidder on a Walther P99 that I don't need, lol.
That's why I went to the link and nowhere else..... I'm my own worst enemy when I start looking at gun broker auctions lol

I also expect to be shoved out of the running pretty quick on this one

Yes, you can. It's done all the time. I don't know how because I haven't participated (yet) as a seller. But it's possible. The new text is identified as added after the original listing. Sellers use the feature to make listing corrections or answer common buyer questions. I see your bid is already up to $505 (nice going!!) and it's our member @LoonWulf who's the hotty involved. I bet he really wants it a whole lot more than he's letting on here. Ha ha!! Buyer be cool ... I think this one is going to go for over $1K. :)

You can’t change the body or title of the listing but you can add supplemental info that appears above your existing information. You can also add photos any time.

This is a sweet rifle and if I hadn’t just bought 3 more milsurps.... yeah, my wife would flay me alive if I also dropped coin on this one. But someone is going to enjoy it very much.

Thank you! I was trying to edit the information, and didn't see the "Add additional info" which threw me off.

I saw @LoonWulf as highest bidder and it would be super neat for this to go to a highroad member. I fear my amateur GunBroker posting could be hindering the sale but at least fellow thr members are able to see that I'm a member in good standing and not trying to pull a fast one :)

Ya, now I see ... looks like the stock wasn't inset quite enough for op rod action. Easily remedied. Shouldn't detract from your bids, IMO.
