What is THIS pistol?

This little pistol belonged to my grandfather. I believe he acquired it in the 70's. Its chambered in .32ACP. On the slide it says: "Fabrique Nationale D'armes De Cuerre Herstal Belgique -- Browning's Patent Depose" On the trigger guard is an unidentifiable seal and the letters MP. Serial number is 48XXX
Any ideas on what this is?

i googled 'FN 32 acp'

Looks like it needs a good scrub down, but those FN 1922's have a solid reputation. Shotgun News did a lengthy write up on them in the past year or so.
