Greeting's All-

The title says it all, "What Is YOUR Favorite Kimber Model"? Please
limit this discussion to Kimber's only; as I know we have a
ton of Colt, Springfield, Baer, Wislon, Norinco, and Rock Island
fans on board; but I'm only interested in your views of Kimber's.
Thank you all very much for any, and all reply's~ :D

BTW, I have two favorites: The 5" blued Raptor, and the 3" Ultra
Carry in stainless.

Pro Tactical II ... cool green-grey finish, lightweight, Commander-size (the perfect blend of weight and length), beautiful dark wood stocks, no front-cocking serrations ... easy to carry, a great shooter ...

THe "Elite Carry" bought 7 yrs. ago. Never liked the SS. slide & black frame color combo, the horrid "Bar of Soap" melt or the 20 LPI frontstrap checkering. {They did not seem to know how to checker an aluminum frame then?}
The trit. sights crapped out in 500 rounds but they r/r'd them in one biz week dr. to dr.!

Had #128 of 1,200 from their Custom Shop.

What made it a keeper was its ability to throw 5 generic Amer. Eagle 230's into 1 1/4" off bags at 25 yds. {Ain't that great a shot either!}

Don't miss it but it was a great little gun!

I got a Pro Elite from THR handgun sales forum. In my very limited experience (only kimber's I have are that one and a series 1 "custom") the pro elite is my favorite.

I'd like to say my Royal Carry (S1) is my favorite, but since it is still NIB, I'll go with my amazingly reliable and accurate Custom Classic (S1).

My others are close behind (Clackamas and other S1s). It's kinda like children...you love them all, but some are more obedient (reliable) than others.

Greetings Dan,

I would have to say the pre II series Custom Classic. I can't recall how many thousands of rounds I have put through the ole gal, and she has never let me down. :D

SILENT ONE

Gold Match! :) If my digital camera was working I'd show some great groups that hang behind my loading bench.

Have a good one,
Dave

Ultra Carry CDP (pre-firing pin lock). I CCW it frequently; even fired an IDPA match with it. Great sights, great trigger, and (once I tweaked the slide release, to prevent the occasional premature lock-open), 100% reliable, to date.

My favorite is the only one I own. A series 1 classic custom. No external extractor, no ramped barrel, 100% reliable and accurate as any auto I've ever had.

I would like to have a full size CDP some day though.

The Aluminum Compact. I'm sure all of the Compacts are nice but I have the Aluminum.

Anything Series I :D
+1.

I think I'd have to go with a Classic Stainless, followed by a Compact Stainless. However if it wasnt too big for carry, my BUL M5 framed Polymer Stainless would be at the top of the list.

Mine is an Eclipse Custom II in 10MM. Love it. Would also like a Stainless Target II in 45acp and a Raptor.

The ones I don't buy since they couldn't get three of them I had to work right. Bought one, they replace that with two others they couldn't get to work. A Series I in nice shape and a good price, yes. Anything else no way!
