What Is YOUR Favorite Kimber Model?

I traded away all of my kimbers except for the Pro-Carry STS light weight pre-series II .I guess that would make it my favorite kimber.tom.

I would have to agree with the poster who chose the Custom Classic I; natural shooter, customized out of the box, accurate and reliable. The best 1911 type model I've ever shot.

My Clackamas-stamped Custom Classic. It's w/ George an Co. @ EGW right now and I miss it dearly. I guess I'll get it back in a few months or so, refinished with a new front sight and 30 LPI front strap checkering.

My favorite Kimber is the only one I currently own.......

KimberCombatCarry.jpg

........a Combat Carry, which is a Series I gun in .45 ACP made before the Compact CDP but includes the latter gun's bells n' whistles: alloy Officer ACP-type frame, Commander-sized stainless steel slide, 30 LPI checkering, ambi safeties, adjustable trigger, night sights and a bushingless bull barrel with captive recoil spring assembly.

:D

I have tried out several Kimbers that belong to frienss of mine and finally made the decision to buy the Custom TLE IIe. This one does not have the light rail. It is very accurate and is like the energizer bunny...just keeps on going & going.

My favorite is the one I have, a Custom TLE II which I've modified with an arched steel MSN with lanyard loop and stainless pins--I like the look, feel, accuracy, the whole package. However, the prettiest Kimber is probably the Eclipse II which I've been shooting with a friend--it's a nice finish with classy grips.

I don't own one, but I've shot enough with a Gold Match, series I to know(opinion) that it is a very good gun right out of the box...very impressive in all aspects for the money. At the time, it made Colts and Springfields look "sick".

I like pretty much all of the Kimbers except the compacts. Don't know why, except that they look "chunky" and just don't feel right in my hands.

My first one, a stainless Gold Match, is still the one I own that I like the best. The Eclipse is really nice, although the trigger isn't as good as the GM. My Pro Carry looks a bit worn, but it still shoots just fine.

Had 2 kimbers a series 1 TLE and a series 2 Tactical custom. Both were nice guns. I decided to focus on colt's and sold both of them. My buddy at work has 3 kimbers a eclipse, stainless 10 and a warrior. when they work they seem to be nice pistols. All are series 2 and he has had problems with all of them....

This one, a Kimber Eclipse Custom II.

The best trigger I've ever felt on a 1911 and easily the most accurate 1911 I've ever owned.

My Warrior, followed by my Super Match, on which I installed target adjustable sights with a tritium bar and tritium front sight. The Warrior slides nicely into a Sidearmor holster built to hold the added Surefire light on the rail. A very reliable pair. (Sorry, couldn't just choose one. <smile>)
