When the Prince of Darkness calls

and says come on out I say yes sir Mr Vice President and we spend the afternoon shooting lawyers. We have found Labrdoodles and Goldendoodles perfect for flushing lawyers since it requires a dog w/o any brains.

If he doesn't call then Sporting Clays, 5 stand and skeet in that order.

Sporting clays..................better yet, FITASC. But do not forget Box Pigeons and helice (aka ZZ birds)

Anything where the targets are always different!

Skeet and sporting. Trap only when I have severe insomnia... I can't think of much that's more boring than trap.

Sporting Clays! But as my kid we had a little plastic hand-thrower that launched Ritz Crackers - singles or doubles. When my eyes were younger & my reflexes were swifter it was my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE shotgun game. Shooting or throwing was a hoot. With practice you could whiz a Ritz and it would turn & dart away edgewise to the shooter. We would bet against one another with our school lunch money. I went hungry...for days.

I enjoy trap because I do well at it. It’s also very popular so there’s always someone around to talk to between rounds.

Now that the range I frequent has 5-stand I’m trying to spend more time over there. I have a looooong way to go before I’m proficient and it can be frustrating. Very, very frustrating.

I’ve never shot skeet.

I started with trap, progressed to skeet, and discovered sporting clays. I like all three, but if I have the chance, I drive the 45 minutes to the sporting clays range.

Sporting clays is most fun. I have only shot a few rounds of skeet. Trap is my nemisis. It is not fun, it is discipline, it is work. For some reason, I have been compelled to do it for 35yrs. Thanks to this stupid game, I have worn out reloaders, shot a semi load of lead, and spent a small fortune. I hate clay pigeons.

I'm with Dave McC, sporting first, followed by wobble! In-between I do shoot some ATA trap and skeet. Tried International Trap at a new Olympic training facility in central PA, hardest shotgun game I EVER experienced!!

Pull.....X.....X
