But some of my best memories are walking old growth N. Wisconsin woods waiting for a grouse to flush or a dog to point with a 16ga double in my hands.

Yeah that did it for me also, no better way to spend a fall day than following a GSHP listening to the bell, then the flush be it grouse or woodcock it was my favorite.

I've tried stalking and had a fixed tree stand that got stolen.
Now its a climber only. I like being able to move to different trees.
Usually like to get 25-30ft up.
This is for bow hunting whitetails. Pretty much the only hunting I do.
