What is your favorite western?

I just started watching the new West World series. Not my style but I find it interesting that Ed Harris’ character carries and prominently features a Lemat (although it’s not accurately depicted..it being shown as a top break and loaded with cartridges and a brass shell for the bottom barrel). It’s the first time I’ve seen a Lemat featured on screen.

How about tv oaters?

Branded, The Texan, The Guns of Will Sonnett, Have Gun Will Travel, 26 Men, Bonanza.

Recently I have developed a certain affection for Gene Barry's Bat Masterson and a nearly forgotten series called The Monroes, about a family moving to Wyoming, the parents die in an accident and the eldest son has to homestead and deal with an neighboring cattle rancher and a other rather scruffy family who play by their own rules.

I like the Clint Eastwood and John Wayne oaters as well.

Hell on Wheels. Not a Western , perhaps but all the elements of one and glimpses of most of the revolvers used during and years after the civil war.

I definitely think Hell on Wheels qualifies as a Western, or a Western series anyway.
Westerns aren't just about cowboys and town marshals. The building of the railroad gets left out.

Well more properly an Eastern rather than a Western, "Never say never again' the scene with the castle and the horse jumping into the sea. Fantastic Henry Rifle, brass receiver polished up . Otherwise I'm boring tgtbatu, tuco's gun shop scene

Gees thats a loaded question! I have so many. But i guess any of the Sergio Leone westerns ...but also the newer ones like the 3:10 to yuma remake. But my all time favorite has the be Hell on Wheels and a show on netflix called "Godless". Its a great show for any of those interested. Also a newer movie called "Hostiles" with christian bale. Its centered around the indian wars era

Quigley for my Sharps and for fun. Tombstone for history...
Lonesome Dove.for everything.... but my favorite is the John Wayne movie 'The Cowboys"
having gone on a real drive in WY years ago, this is the real deal.
The kids were in awe of Wayne...they just sat and looked at him during shooting...

They Call Me Trinity is definitely worth a watch if you like the older westerns and appreciate sometimes goofy humor. But, he is an excellent example of what lots of dry fire practice can do for you. o_O
I think anything with Terrence Hill and Bud Spencer is great. And for Trinity without Bud, I like My Name is Nobody.
