Most valuable: Colt 1875 Lightning inherited from my Grandfather appraised at almost $1000.

My primary silhouette rifle; Ballard Rifle Company made Winchester High-Wall in 40-70 Winchester. Presentation grade English Walnut, hand checkering, double set triggers. With sights I’ve got a little over 5K tied up in it.

It’s “little” brother is a close second, a Low-Wall in .22 that came in just shy of $4900. Other than the barrel weight, they're a matched set.

$1200 M1A for rifles, $600 Kimber Custom II for pistols.

Add in mags, a GI stock, a scope mount, a scope, sling, bipod, etc, that M1A probably has cost me twice that much, and has been worth every penny. The Kimber is the most accurate pistol I've ever owned, and will soon suck up a large chunk of money in the quest to have the most accurate pistol I've ever fired.

Handgun wise, surprisingly its my 92FS. Gun was $480, but once you include the trigger work and the grips (not pictured), its about $630.

Most expensive is the PC627 V-Comp which was going for around $1000 at the time. I got it for $20 worth of tickets for the drawing at the International Revolver Championship which was, as usual, lavishly supported by Smith and Wesson. Okay, okay, I paid FFL also.

The most expensive I've purchased is the S&W 686+ at $395 plus FFL.
