What is your range uniform?

This question should be more what NOT to wear. I see dudes bringing their girlfriends sometimes with skimpy dresses, daisy duke shorts and strappy shoes that expose their feet. Large baggy clothing can be unsafe also.

White and light colored clothing should probably be a no no as well. Those German shooting costumes look a little too much like Nascar to me. Just sayin'.

It seems that dress up or uniforms are the big thing; cammo, bicycle spandex, team t-shirts and logos for whatever ball season, etc.

I'm a bit (lot) of a curmudgeon and don't think dress up is necessary. If one of my ICORE or S&W logo shirts cycle into the closet on range day I may wear it, but I don't plan ahead to have it ready.

That can be a problem. Makes it hard to concentrate on shooting. ;)

special really.

This is what they wear in Germany:

reminds me of the dazzle camouflage used for ships in WW2

I wear jeans in winter shorts in summer. Long sleeve t shirt in winter, short sleeve t shirt in summer and tennis shoes. Glasses and ear plugs.
My friends cousin dresses like nunfancy to go to the range. Uber tacticool. Wish I had a pic.

For the real thing Gus wears a jaunty hat. ;)

I usually opt for jeans and panama soled jungle boots and a button up shirt I don't mind getting dirty. Tactical hair band this is a must.. long hair blowing around really messes up your sight picture.

Also I use Wiley Blink presricption sports/shooting glasses.

I like the 5.11 pants. Just good pants, great for the range. Like how the mag stashes in the back pocket for playing speed games. I went to wearing the underarmor shirts years ago when they first showed up in the army --I was a diehard cotton guy until I tried those, now I don't wear cotton shirts anymore.

I always wear my boonie, boots, ear and eye pro. But I sort of dress like this all the time, I'm always ready to go to the range. Lucky for me, it is just down the street and open from 7am to 10pm 365 days.

I don't wear shorts (unless it is god awful hot) or open shoes. Don't go shooting without the eye and ear pro either, seen what happens when you leave that behind.

In the army, they used to make those guys wear the helmets, the armor, all the junk. Said to "train the way we fight". Nonsense. Shooting at a range at pop up targets isn't training, it is target shooting. So at our SDM school, we abandoned the helmet, armor, and other stupid army range rules. Our uniform became the boonie, black shirts with skull and crosshairs, BDU bottoms, and black or brown boots (the only real issue gear we wore were the pants --and we got away with it too-- mostly because the army doesn't spend much time at ranges and that is where we were all day long!) I still sort of dress this way out of comfort, just don't wear the BDU's or the range instructor shirt.

How 'bout this for rangewear?

Ehhh... that would be cute, but the expression their probably aiming for is "wrack and ruin" (not "wrath") which simply indicates something is falling to peices or deteriorated beyond repair. "Wrack" in that case is merely a synonym for wreckage, but not used elsewhere.

(Unless they are fans, or members, of a progressive Metal band actually called "Wrath and Ruin." Could be, I guess.)

The girl's wearing a "Zombie Hunter" hat (the guys hat is a little more base in its humor - I'll let ya'll read it for yourselves ;)). Wrath and ruin fits in that context :).

Jeff Gordon hat, SSNFA tshirt, and camo shorts. High speed, low drag!

Pretty close to what I normally wear. Golf shirt and khakis if I'm hitting the range after work, t-shirt and cargo pants on the weekends.

If I'm shooting a match, I might wear soccer cleats, depending on the ground conditions. I also always wear my lucky ICEHOTEL baseball cap. ;)

BTW, I try to keep in mind that my clothes have to be washed and I don't want to get lead on anything. An expensive jumpsuit is ideal, but most of the time I'm wearing Levis and whatever sweatshirt or t-shirt I put on in the morning.

If you're worried about lead and exposing your children, wear the jumpsuit and throw them into a bag when you're done. Rinse off the bottom of your shoes before getting into your car. The jumpsuit you wash and a coin operated laundrymat (to protect your own washer).
