Mine would be just like the 45 acp nightguard but with a blacken stainless steel frame, barrel and cylinder or perhaps coated with modern a corrosion resistant black finish ( I like black guns ) and tritium night sights.

Since it would not be a "pocket" gun I see no reason why it should be made with an aluminum frame.

I'm thinking a blued Model 27 with a 6" barrel in line with the 6-o-clock cylinder. (like a mateba autorevolver)

Well, the overall length of a loaded 7.62x39 cartridge is almost identical to the overall length of a .460 cartridge. I don't see why it wouldn't be doable, but I'm not a metallurgist or mechanical engineer.

The problem is that revolvers don't work very well with bottleneck cases. After being fired, the case tries to back out of the chamber, and ties up the cylinder. If that could be solved, an X-Frame in 7.62x39 or .223 could be interesting.

There was a 5.45x39mm revolver called a YESAUL. I can't remember if it was Ukrainian or Romanian or something like that.

Some gunsmith custom made a single action revolver in 7.62x39 also.

An S&W 500 with 6.5" barrel in carbon steel with the attention to detail that Smith's older guns had. In other words pinned and recessed, high polish blue, firing pin on the hammer, and without the bunghole lock.

How about a choice of 5 shot .45 ACP or 8 shot .357, stainless steel, no lock, and in a Centennial style like the 640 J frames (but with a K frame even for the .45, with smooth light leaf springs and with a 3" barrel or a little less).

Basically a Stainless Steel Centennial Nightguard series sized like a Charter Arms Bulldog.

K frame, M15, 7 shot in .327 Federal Magnum.
S&W autopistol, 4566, in 9x23 Winchester or .38 Super.

They actually did make it. It's called the 620. I had been wanting that gun for years. And then they finally came out with a 7 shot L-frame that has a model 66 profile and they stick a big ugly hole in the side of it. They shot that idea all to ---.
