What kind of gun oil do you use?

Breakfree CLP and Remoil, mostly. I'll put gun butter on the slides of my 1911s.

CLP and Shooters Choice grease.

Breakfree for the most part..sometimes just a scrub with Hoppes #9, squirt with non-chlorinated Brake Cleaner and use Synthetic Motor oil.

It seems from the variety of responses that what oil and grease we use does not matter...

... unless you have special applications like polar bear hunting at -40 or holding off waves of invading zombies at +120.

All I use is Balistol for cleaning and preserving metal (like to spray it on metal parts and let it soak for a while in ziplock bags) and a needle greaser on the slides, just a dab will do ya!
